Work better for deeper snow
Glad I got this as we had a couple of big dumps of heavy wet snow in Vermont this year!

Easy to put on and take off.
Easy to put on and take off even while wearing the snow shoes.
They stay on just fine. Haven't used them in different types of snow yet. When I did use them I did notice the extra weight of the snow on top of them, but didn't really need them in the snow conditions I was in. Glad I have them though I think they will be nice to have in certain conditions.

Just the ticket
My 8 year old lightning ascents fell apart on me this winter, but I liked them so much I bought the new style shoes along with tails. I could not be happier! Super light and quick. The new style bindings are a breeze to put on - take off and very secure. The tails also work great and are a snap to attach.

Great Product!
Increase float and super sturdy. First use was a 6 mile hike on the Superior Hiking Trail, ungroomed, broke trail for 5 of the 6 miles. They worked perfect. With the exception of the increased float, I couldn't even tell they were added. Stap them on and you'll forget about them being there. It's like have 2 snowshoes in one! Love these!

The Best snowshoe accessory ever made!!
Well designed and engineered. Great to have the versatility of a larger snowshoe when needed, and a shorter snowshoe when day hiking.

Not for older 2 Toe Strap Lightning Snowshoes
Tails will not work with the old "2 toe strap style" Lightnings that I bought several years ago. Frames of newer Lightnings are notched to accept the tails.
The old shoes are still working fine but would be nice to have more float on deep powder.

Small and relatively easy to put on, can't come up with a reason not to have these along: extra flotation with just a clip on.

A great add on
Worked as expected and were easy to install. The added float is nice when carrying a backpack or going through fluffy snow.
