Athletic fit looks great on its own or fit well under a shell. Material stretches and allows for a full range of motion. Very impressed with this product and would highly recommend!

I’ve long searched for a down insulated jacket that one, fits, two, is not too bulky for layering, and 3, rugged enough to occasionally wear as an outside layer. I think this is it. Perhaps the bet part is the fit. I’ve always struggled with sizing, mediums, are too tight in the shoulders, larges too big in the waist, the latter making them particularly difficult to layer. This jacket has a somewhat athletic fit, and the large fits me perfectly. It’s form fitting enough to layer, and the stretch fabric, and lack of stitching leaves plenty of mobility. It’s an innovative fabric, that creates baffles without sewing. The baffles are woven right into the fabric. This is a new technology we are going to see more of, sometimes called 3D weaving. Its a technology that has been used in the weaving of socks for some time now. Frankly, I think what limits freedom of movement in most down jackets is the baffle seams. Here the baffles and fabric are one in the same. Nice jacket!

The Super DS is the first puffy to weave face, back, and baffles from a single fabric. Basically, that's just a fancy way of saying there's finally a jacket made without constricting glues or delicate stitches. (Read: more breathability/flexibility, less cold spots/down migration.) Before, if you were a climber at the Red River Gorge in the fall or warming up at the boulders before the sunrise, you would've had to sacrifice movement for warmth. Well, now you'll never have to.
