Eagle Creek Caldera 4-Wheel, 100L, 30"

I'm happy with my Caldera 100L and carry-on and purchases. I've owned many Eagle Creek products and am a huge fan. But also felt that I'd like to see EC toughness with a slightly less-outdoorsy aesthetic, and this is perfect. Here are my initial impressions since I haven't taken it on a trip yet: - Quality seems to match that of other luggage makers at the same price point. All stitches are straight and reinforced discretely. Material has a great hand and seems durable. If I could change one thing I'd like to see the mesh panels replaced with the same TPU material as found on the Natl Geographic series. The fabric EC chose is in-line with Tumi and others though. - I love the dimensions. Despite the huge capacity, it doesn't look like I'm hauling around a really large suitcase. It is more narrow than my 30" Tarmac and that makes a really big difference. - Grip handle is more minimalist than the Tarmac but padding is sufficient and the materials feel expensive and solid. But glad they kept the same wheels as the Tarmac AWD. Why change a great thing? - I still have an iPhone 6, so couldn't use the TripSync. The label says that it woks with iPhone 6+ and onward. Wish they had said that in the online shop description. Probably wouldn't have been a deal killer but still as a courtesy to customers that should have been thought of. - The aluminum buckles look great and snap tightly into the loops on front. - I got the black colorway but would like to see this in olive green. The moss just looks too difficult to keep clean. I like the plain aluminum over the anodized buckles and they would go great with a darker green.

I travel frequently and used to use Tumi luggage which pales in comparison to EagleCreek. Quality, innovative, and appealing luggage. Will be a lifelong customer. #sweepstakes
