I love everything about this
I love everything about this shoe. The waterproofing and look is just what I was looking for. I would have given 5 stars but the inside ankle area needs padding to make comfortable. It is very stiff cause a pressure point. I will still by Danners in the future!

Super happy- I struggle with finding the right shoe for wide feet. The toe box is nice and wide in these x-wide trail shoes. The mid hight gave me confidence on the ridge line as I like to run across the top of the rocks. traction was a plus with the sturdy sole.

I own eleven Danner hiking
I own eleven Danner hiking boots and sneakers and they?re all great. That Trail Mid 4? GTX is as advertised. It has plenty of stability and still very comfortable.

The 2650 Mid 4? melds Danner?s 2650 Trail with its Mountain 600 boot. It is at home in town as in the field providing light weight but stable support. Wear it with confidence this fallat home or in the field.

Great functionality, decent looking
5/5 stars because they're comfortable, breathable, and waterproof.
That said, I don't think they look as nice as the pictures. The leather is not the rich brown shown in the pictures, but a much softer and more desaturated color. I was hopeful that these would be smooth leather, but they are very much a swede-type of leather. I also hate the look of the chunk of rubber on the heel, but that at least looks the same as the pictures - no surprises there.
These are all cosmetic preferences, though. They're great hiking shoes. The wide feels perfect. I have more ankle stability than I thought I would have with these. They're lightweight. Definitely do not regret my purchase over these cosmetic issues.

Very comfortable. I had two pairs of the Vertigo 917?s, which IMO is the most comfortable shoe on the planet. Reason I got these is because my job requires me on my knees sometimes?so I got the Trail 2650 for more protection of the shoe.

Most comfortable boots I've ever owned
After wearing uncomfortable leather boots for many years, I finally found a boot that blends comfort and durability and includes Gore-Tex to keep water and snow out.
I purchased these at the Market Station store in the neighborhood of Denver and I knew I might not wear them that much but with over a dozen snow days between late 2021 and 2022, I put these through the paces, as well as taking them once on a hike at Loveland Pass, at over 13,000 feet.
At first, the sides (mid versions) hurt my ankles, but after wearing them in for a few days, the pain went away once they were broken in.
I love the look and comfort and can actually walk around, or hike, for long periods of time, with warm, dry feet, and most importantly, with no foot pain.

Bought these as my cold
Bought these as my cold and wet weather about town everyday wear and couldn?t be happier. I?ve used the tan edition for hiking and hill walks and loved them and asked why not get a black pair for under jeans? No break in, very comfortable, genuine all terrain all weather boots without the lumberjack or road crew styling. Lightweight and comfortable from day 1, my favorite shoes these days

Good buying experience!
Got a good deal on a quality pair of boots. I'm pleased with the purchase and will definitely shop in the future. Boots took a little breaking in but are comfortable and a good fit. Replaced insole with custom orthotics. Used free shipping option (UPS) because of weather delays shipment took a little longer to arrive.

These shoes are very comfortable for all day use at work or normal walking or hiking. I have damage to my Achilles and the height of the shoes are helping keep me comfortable.

The Trail 2650 is a sturdy hiking shoe that wears like an athletic sport shoe and is comfortable right out the box. It's function for me is use in a retail store loading area. It's comfortable in all day walking on concrete and offers the toe protection of a steel toe boot without the toe pain steel toe sometimes gives. The soles are rugged and 'walk' like athletic shoes. And sometimes dealing with water the waterproofing keeps me dry.

This is my second pair.
This is my second pair. Happy with the EE's fit. I immediately sank in mud and they cleaned up perfectly. This is a really nice lightweight trail boot with just enough support. I'd give 5 stars if I didn't need to swap out the inserts for something better.

The insert that came with the shoe offered no cushion. I ended up ordering one of the optional inserts. Also I ordered wide and these were definitely a skinny wide. I would not buy these again
