The bipod bivvy just does the job perfectly. It's ready for any weather, gives you enough space to read a book inside if that's what you're into and operates smoothly. Past frustrations with bivvies have been evaporated by this sleek and simple design.

I am 6?0? and the bivy has enough room for me to move around a little. The internal support is a significant improvement from other models.

Construction, low weight and ease of use are great. I wish it were high enough to sit up in.

After having the spotlight for a few years and getting very wet a couple times, I upgraded to the Todd Tex fabric and couldn’t be happier. It’s the same dimensions set up and carry weight is a bit heavier but who cares about 1/2 a pound to stay dry...

Bipod Bivy - Black Diamond Gear Bibler's latest creation is a larger, more spacious (and more civilized! incarnation of the bivy sack for solo adventures and ultralight trips. ToddTex fabric provides protection from rain and snow while allowing the breathability necessary for a comfortable, moisture-free night. Laminated nylon floor withstands the abuse of sleeping on snow and rock. Mesh netting keeps the flying critters where they belong. Freestanding, easy to set up and small enough to fit easily into a backpack, bike pannier or haul bag. Made with unique ToddTex, this bivy is totally waterproof, windproof and extremely breathable. ToddTex fabric is constructed with an ultralight ripstop nylon outer face, a 1.1 ounce polyester inner face that wicks water out as fast as a paper towel, and a PTFE (polytetraflouroethylene) membrane laminated in-betweeen. Includes stakes, guylines, Seam Grip, Monoject syringe applicator, stuff sack and instruction/care manual. Comes in standard and long lengths. Imported

The solo adventure bomb shelter

If you're seeking to make the move to ultralight camping, a bivy is a fantastic choice for a shelter. It pitches up much faster than a tent (not to mention weighs much less) and you can crawl inside for the night knowing you're protected from the elements and any creepy-crawlies that are out. You'll have plenty of space to rest comfortably, and users even report being able to do normal tent activities like read a book. Entrances and exits are way easier with the thoughtful addition of the side-zip entry; you can forget the issue of struggling to shove a sleeping kit down the gullet of an old "top-loading" bivy. Condensation will stay outside this shelter thanks to the highly-breathable fabric and the addition of a large mesh panel. By rolling away the denser body fabric you can lay your head down and gaze at the ceiling of stars, truly one of the best sights one can experience in the great outdoors.
