I love the fact you use regular batteries. The light shines brighter than the night core 550 lumens one I have for a while. The only thing about changing the batteries is the battery compartment is very hard to open. Still best headlamp so far.

We purchased our first Revolt 350 last year at the Mountain Man Outdoor Store in Old Forge NY. The woman working that day suggested it. I was a little apprehensive to go with it due to the rechargeable battery pack but I figured if the rechargeable pack is junk I can just use regular batteries. Over a year later both my wife and I are super pleased with it. We use it Every day to walk the dogs in the morning especially in the winter months. The Revolt has been awesome and I have not had to purchase ANY regular batteries. If you are looking for a great headlamp that?s rechargeable this is it.

This head lamp puts out ridiculously bright light. When you combine that with the ability to recharge or use 3 AAA batteries for power this is a work horse for your day trip or if in the back country you will not be disappointed. The red light and strobe feature for signaling makes this a must have for you backpacking, climbing or any other activity that you may be out after that bright light in the sky disappears.

Same great headlamp with a rechargeable battery via usb. It?s now my go to grab at night. Single charge lasts longer than I?ve tried.

Being rechargeable but still accepting batteries is a great feature. Love the red light option and adjustable light setting. Comfortable and light.

I had been needing a headlamp for a long while after my previous black diamond headlamp went MIA? I kicked around and never got one until I saw the Revolt come on sale. Purchased. I got an additional battery and charger as well with it and honestly, I could not be happier with my purchase. I have used it frequently since my purchase at our ranch and the spot beam has an excellent throw when looking for critters and the area light illuminates my walking/working area very well. I haven?t had a major reason to use the red light yet, but I know of a few instances where it will be helpful. Battery life is surprising as I have taken the headlamp on multiple runs as well as walking around the ranch and the battery still has plenty of juice. 10/10

I was happy with the dot 300 but needed the rechargeable feature for expeditions where I take the solar charger. All the features needed plus more power! :-)

Haven't bought one in probably 10 years and this is such a freaking great upgrade. Yes, I know what you're thinking, any new lamp after not getting one for 10 years is better. But this is really special, My previous lamp did already have back then an option for rechargeable battery and AAAs, and other fancy stuff, and I researched a ton of lamps before settling on this one. And am super happy with my choice, and hope this will last me over a decade too. Stoked!

This headlamp is amazing - incredibly bright, comfortable, and rechargeable. I use it skiing, in the rain, and even light enough for running. It's super bright and last forever.

I have had lots of BD headlamps over the years and this is the best to date. The two buttons allow you to change light settings so easy and you always know what setting it will be on. I also love the rechargeable battery i use this thing almost daily and would go through lots of batteries or wonder how much battery life i had left. Now i have a battery light indicator and can charge it up before trips so i will always know the headlamp will be good to go when i need it.

I bought one of these for my girlfriend over a year ago, and it has held up so so well... so i decided to buy one for myself! We now have our two Revolts and an extra battery with the external charger. Now we just need to each bring this headlamp of ours and the extra battery. 10/10 recommend.

I needed a headlamp that I could use on the trail, around the property, and when working on projects. This headlamp does it all. I use the wide light the most which lights up the immediate area around me with a gentle beam. This is the most useful when you need light right in front of you but you don't need it to be a high powered spotlight. However, wherever you need a full powered break, it's just a button tap away The red light is also useful at night, I just wish it came with a green light also which is my favorite but it does not. Even without that, it's still an excellent light and even better you can recharge the batteries so you're not wasting money buying them every time.

There is nothing I DON'T use this light, durable, crazy luminous headlamp for! No kidding. With a full time schedule in wildermess areas, this is the most well designed headlamp I have had the pleasure of using. I really dig the tap/toggle option to switch brightness settings, quick and easy w/out having to use the traditional tactile console. All around, this truly is the most brilliant headlamp Black Diamond has developed!

I had the original Revolt, and the batteries were finally getting a little old 6+ years later. I got this new version, and it is awesome - all the rechargeable flexibility I liked with the old one and so much more light. The light beam is well-shaped for mountaineering, which is what I mainly use it for.

Headlamp works great, fits well, and very useful for all of my hikes. Got to break it out on a winter trek and it illuminated the trail perfectly in 10 degree weather.

Great torch with excellent features (varying intensity, red light, flash, tap control). Perfectly bright enough for all my backpacking and bikepacking needs, and just to head out to the compost at night at home. Sometimes I use it to read in bed on low light as a home reading light. Great product!
