I just bought the complete campstove cook kit. I haven't used it as of yet but I'm very impressed with the look of the thing. I have no complaints except that there doesn't appear to be any instructions for the use of the French press coffee thingy. I suppose I can look online and find out how to use one but it should be included with the instructions I think especially for someone green with technology. After I try the product and see how it works I might give another review.

I got my BioLite CampStove as a wedding gift many moons ago. Since then, I mainly used it as a backup cooking and charging device during power outages or for boiling water for MRE's. As a dad of four boys, I'm also a Scoutmaster for a small Scouting Troop near our home town. On our first spring campout outing of the year, I decided to bring along my CampStove just as tool for our newer scouts to practice their fire building skills. Anyone who goes early Spring camping in the Northeast knows to expect some gnarly weather. The second night out, we got hit hard with slushy rain and gusts of wind. The day (which had been a nice 78 degrees) quickly deteriorated and dropped to 44 degrees Fahrenheit. When the rain came rolling in later that evening, it felt like it was just two degrees above freezing. All night long our tents and gear were peppered with rain and ice. The next morning, I knew our boys needed a hot meal and a warm fire to start their day. Unfortunately, all our firewood was cold and soaked through and through (with exception to some pine cones and lint I brought from home in a ziplock bag). I tried unsuccessfully to use lint, wood shavings and kindling to start a fire in our fire pit but any fire I'd create was quickly snuffed out. Running low on tinder, I took out my Biolite CampStove as a last ditch effort to create and sustain a solid flame. It did not disappoint! Not only did it start and sustain a fire, I used my CampStove to dry out and light up some moderate sized pieces of wood that I then used to start up our camp fire pit. Needless to say, my CampStove really did save the day! It would not have been possible otherwise. Since then, if the weather calls for rain on a campout, my CampStove is sure to join in on the adventure.

I love these camp stoves. Lived off one of these for about 5 summers and was excited to see this new version with all the extras.

This thing is awesome so light and easy to pack into a day pack. So far I've cooked grill cheese sandwiches and a steak dinner. Many more meals to be cooked on with many more adventures. I love it no gas or any kind of fuel needed just sticks and twiggs to use light it. And it charges my phone or headlamp.

With the wood pellets, one fill up was enough to cook a steak and a kettles worth of coffee. About 30-35 minutes. And it was a little windy when I tried it.

Absolutely fantastic car camping stove and cook system! I really love starting the fire with some wood pellets then fueling it with dry twigs. The system burns hot, and will boil water in a bout 4 minutes. The battery charges quickly while the stove is burning fuel, and you can easily charge an electronic device while cooking a meal. It is less bulky than a coleman propane stove and stores easily and compactly.

I attempted to refurbish my original Campstove and was informed that the power unit was no longer available and that I would need to purchase a new Campstove2?long story short?the new Campstove2 is indeed a worthy replacement: larger battery capacity, better/larger fan, a cool light, and after a thorough inspection (why can I not retrofit this to my old stove-body?!?) the differences became apparent and understand why the company had to resort to issuing a new stove entirely?a retrofit would require the end user to be very proficient with metal working and able to operate within some very tight tolerences (good luck) not to mention the liabilaty associated with such modifications to something you make fire in?good job on the re-design, hope this one lasts a decade or more like the last one did, a great piece of emergency kit (so long as the battery holds a charge) and the best camp coffee maker I've ever owned, boils water in under five minutes with superdry tinder (beware using dampish woods, you'll hate the results)

I have to say I am impressed with the quality and functionality of this stove. The fan allows you to control the airflow which controls the flame/ temp. It charges the charging box effectively and works as described! Extremely pumped to continue to use this product!

Was gifted this stove. I've used it on long paddling trips, 14 days. It's perfect when there is a lot of dry shore wood. Boils water a bit slower than a single burner camp stove. Don't use wood that is too long. Charged my phone enough to keep taking pictures for a 2 week trip.

Worth every cent. First time use, I used store bought wood for smoking meat(ideal wood) and charged the battery fully in 3 hours from the out of the box 2bars. And for first time using this awesome device, the charge indicator was fluctuating from 1/3 to max charge quit abit, so after one or two more uses I should be able to keep the charge indicator maxed 90% of the time, which just means it will take less than 3 hours to charge the internal battery. It was so easy to start a fire in this thing, that fan is incredible. The heat this gives is off is awesome also. You guy's really hit a home run with this.

Overall functions as expected. Transportation of kit is lacking. If possible I'd like to see the whole coffee press fit inside the base along with the serving bowl.

As a mountaineer and seasoned outdoorsman this is the best ever. I've spent so much on isobutane fuel it's crazy, I broke down and bought a BioLite complete set with grill.. It does everything I need including charging a 24000mah lithium battery in a about 6 hours. I probably have more than 600 burn hours on this in 2 months since I bought it with no issues or anything. Hands down the greatest outdoor tool!

If you're thinking about getting this do it now and pay for upgraded shipping to the east coast. Because shipping took two weeks after FedEx received it. Just in case you need it for a trip. Be aware that shipping to New England is brutally slow. I would've upgraded but I'm a cheapo. On to the review. One of my biggest gripes with the original one was how finicky it was. No matter the fuel it was always a bit of a pain. Either smokey or burned too fast. They seem to have fixed that completely. I also love that it is a battery pack so the thermoelectric is being put to use even if I don't have a USB connected. It should have a USB C but A works fine with adapters. The LED light was gimmicky until I used it. Really necessary great accessory. So NOT a gimmick, I stand corrected. Power output seems much stronger than my old one, by at least two times I think. Get it, it's fun and a great stove. Like I said if you need it fast spring for upgraded shipping or be patient if you're in New England.

The airflow really gets your fire going fast. It boils water in about 5 minutes. I use this a minimum of once a week (it's been raining a lot or I would use it more) when home and plan to use it every day when on the road. I'm now obsessed with collecting twigs. We have used twigs, pellets, small branches, and pine cones with success. The light is very helpful to look into the fire when starting it. Have grilled chicken, burgers, and kebabs. I also used a small cast iron pan and aluminum foil to great results. A helpful tip to keep it shinier and clean is to use Bar Keeper's Friend Soft Liquid cleaner and a grill brush. Also, get some super industrial grilling gloves so you can move it if needed. FYI, this cools down quickly. This would get 5 stars however, some of the materials on the grill/stove part are not filed down so you have to be careful not to cut yourself when cleaning. Other than that, I love it!

Great product, wicked for charging devices with fire. A little heavy, but I still backpack with it. My complaint is, with the bundle you get the plastic cup and French press, I wish biolite would make the cup a tiny bit bigger, so the French press can fit inside it. Therefore you could pack both instead of picking one or the other. Because there is definitely room to fit both, the cup just has a inner ring that prevents it. I just bring the French press because I have my own metal canteen for...

Turn fire into electricity. Grill, boil, cook, and charge with this fully integrated kit. Generate electricity and create smokeless wood flames with the award-winning CampStove 2+ while cooking up your meals with the lightweight portable Grill, KettlePot, and CoffeePress accessories. Stove generates 3W power to charge devices with its 3,200 mAh integrated on board battery that stores energy so you can charge on-demand. The stove burn sticks, wood scraps, or BioLite Biofuel Pellets (see SKU: BIOFPA1601). KettlePot stores CampStove to save pack space. The KettlePot boils 33.8 fl oz. (1 liter) of water in 4.5 minutes. The stoves steel grill grate top fits up to four burgers or six hot dogs. Cooking in low light or night time conditions? Plug in the included 100 lumens FlexLight with ChromaReal LED technology to illuminate cooktop.
Smart LED Dashboard provides real time feedback on fire strength, power output and fan speed settings. USB Charge Out: Turn the heat of your fire into useable electricity to charge phones and lights. Stove has lightweight aluminum legs that fold up for nested portability and ease of use. The leg design packs flat to fit in a backpack. The stoves fuel intake lid doubles as refueling source and chimney. Flame spreading design turns your flames into an even cooking surface. BPA-free high-temperature top allows you to see boiling point with transparent lid. Silicone seal keeps liquids secure so you can pour without spilling a drop. Cooking accessories have vertical cool touch handles to facilitate easy pouring. The stoves ultra-thin stainless-steel body is lightweight and safer than anodized aluminum cookware and highly corrosion resistant.
You might ask yourself how does it work?
Heat:
BioLite's patented core technology captures waste heat from the fire through a heat probe attached to the orange powerpack.
Electricity:
Heat is converted into electricity via a thermoelectric generator. This powers a fan and sends electricity to a USB charging port. Excess power is stored in internal battery. Create 3 watts of electricity from the heat of your fire and use it to charge devices in real-time or store for later use with on-board 3,200 mAh battery.
Air:
The internal fan injects air back into the burn chamber dramatically improving combustion and creating a cleaner, more efficient burn.
Multi-functional cookware allows you to create full meals and beverages with lightweight CampStove 2 accessories. Portable and compact grill packs down to an impressive 3" (7.6cm) and the CampStove nests inside the KettlePot. Use Found Fuel: Burn sticks, twigs, pinecones, and other biomass - find your fuel along the trail and never buy a gas canister again. The stove has four fan speeds, and a live power output 3 watts peak: TEG generated 5V 2A USB output. The camp stove weighs 33 oz. (935g), the KettlePot weighs 16 oz. (465g), the CoffeePress weighs 2.8 oz. (80g) and the Grill weighs 30 oz. (850g). The CampStove measures (H x W) 8.25" x 5" (21cm x 12.7cm), KettlePot measures (H x W) 10.2" x 5.2" (25,91cm x 13.21cm), CoffeePress measures 4.9" x 1.6" x 7.9" (12.5cm x 4cm x 20cm), and the Grill measures 9.5" x 1.6" x 7.9" (24.13cm x 30.48cm x 26.67cm). The CampStove Complete Cook Kit includes a stuff sack for transport and storage, instructions for use, USB cord, CampStove2+, FlexLight 100, Firelighter, KettlePot, CoffeePress and Portable Grill.
