I bought this tent to replace the previous generation of the same tent. I love the stake out entry feature. It still maintains its compact size while on the bike as well. Great product!!!

Really nice tent, well thought out design. Love the shortstik poles and porch overhang. Quite weatherproof , even in the wet PNW. Unfortunately the zipper track came unsewn from the rainfly for the main door after about 20 nights of usage. Big Agnes has zero rainflys in stock either refurbished or new and no concept of a waiting list or notification for when they do come in stock - "check back in a few weeks". I spent the $500+ on this tent because I've heard many friends have good experiences with the legendary Big Agnes warranty/support, and that has not been my experience here. Spend the coin if you want but don't expect support.

Great and versatile tent and rain fly. I really like the shorter poles and compact design. It fits in my backpack and even smaller packs for shorter trips; it's light, easy to set up and versatile. When I contacted customer service they responded quickly.

I use this tent for bike packing & general lightweight camping trips. The short polls allow easy packing, lots of room for the pack size, head room where you need it, built in gear loft is great for storing cloths & best of all, the tent just weathered a 9 hour rain without leaking.

Easy to set up. Well-engineered to easily fit together and set up, well designed to store my gear and keep it dry, has all the room I need in a one-man tent. Easy to get in and out of. Well-vented. Lightweight and compact. Phenomenal quality. Superior in every respect. I couldn't be happier!

I love this tent. Recently took it out and got absolutely dumped on with rain overnight and stayed bone-dry. Easy setup and compact packed size. Highly recommended.

These are excellent tents designed ti make your adventuring by bike a lot easier. The very small packability means you can fit more stuff in your bag. Bravo Big Agnes!

I'm really happy with the compact size, the lightweight and easy to setup. The first time I tried it, it was really windy and I clearly wanted to use the guylines to mantain well the tent walls... surprise, there were not enough stakes to pitch every poles together with every ropes. Of course you can use the same stakes as the one holding the poles but it has almost no effect compare to a good line staked away from the tent, this is just physic and I guess a few extra gramms won't hurt anyone compared to a flying tent. As the material is lightweight, I will definetely get a correct footprint, I used another one as the one made for this tent wasn't available when I ordered it... as well as more stakes.

Used in bikepacking trip around the Brecons and Cambrian's in South Wales. The best tent I've owned.

I think this tent rocks, super comfortable, easy to set up, lots of smart storage pockets, I like the place to dry stuff on top of it, its a nice feature for desert camping. Its a nice weight for a tent with a lot of features. Well done Big Agnes, you've knocked this one outta the park.

Purchased in June. I have used it on 3 lightweight trips so far. A 7 day kayaking trip. And two weekend bike touring trips. I have found it to be waterproof, and windproof, easy to setup, with just enough room for one. Haven't really used the awning feature yet, so no comment on that. In a heavy rainstorm always fold back the ground sheet from the vestibule area, so water doesn't pool between the groundsheet and the tent floor. I am riding the Northern Tier bike route across the country next summer. This tent should be perfect. The tent stakes are tough and light. Order a few extra with your tent. Thanks, John

Just amazing design. All the little details make me so happy everytime I have climbed inside. So easy to set up after a long day in the saddle and then little place to hang my wet and smelly gear, phone, charger and bear spray. Unfortunately a black bear jumped on me and my tent a few weeks ago (no food or scents were in the tent, just a habituated campground bear) and did break a pole and ripped the fly. I'm pretty bummed as this is my favorite piece of gear.

The Copper Spur HV UL 1 is my favorite bikepacking companion. I love how well constructed it is; the ease of set-up; protection from the elements; and bugs! I've used this set-up on a few trips and love that its large enough to sit-up in and drink coffee in the morning. Has enough room to bring some gear in too: and I'm 5'9". It's definitely my home away from home on the trail and although its not the lightest set-up in all the land I know that I can pitch it again and again and again and I don't have to be the most careful person, and lets be honest, I'm pretty clumsy!

I've used this tent for a year now, bikepacking and backpacking. The size of the tent, packed down, rivals any tent I've owned. My friends get jealous by the free-standing capability and the incredible volume inside. I'm 6'3" and neither by head or feet touch the ends. So nice! The inside storage is awesome too. I like to stay organized in the tent and the amount of intelligently placed pockets tells me that Big A actually designs for real life applications! Thanks to the whole team at Big A for knocking it out of the park, yet again!

The helmet retention as it is presently useless because the helmet falls out. The built-in loft is fantastic and I would love to persuade you into adding another, equally sized screen gear loft. I like to put my bike shorts in one loft and my bike shirt, socks, and other personal items in another so they can air out overnight. I love the fact that you added Velcro on the vestibule rain fly. The short poles are such a blessing!!!

They fit a lot into this tiny tent. You get the lightness of a bivy, with the room a tent. Fits between the handle bars nicely. Love all the added details like the helmet holder and interior storage. It exceeded my expectations.

Slept in this baby about 7 nights on a recent bike trip. I love the light weight and compact size of the poles. Great height. The fly zipper was damaged before I used it and Big Agnes sent me a replacement right off! Seems to require more care in handling then my previous copper spur.

I had previously been using the Fly Creek 1 person for my solo trips. My love for the Copper Spur 2 led me to change my solo set up to this tent. I love it! There is ample room to sit up and move around. All of the bikepacking updates and additions are super helpful and thoughtful. It is light and quick up and down. I had it in 40 Mph winds and while there was some shaking going on I was totally locked in for the night and all went well. A funny anecdote however being that I was in the desert for this wind storm and woke up to a sleeping pad full of sand, which was not the tents fault but rather the incredible talent of the sand being so small it was able to pass through the mesh. This did not bother me, but only led me to feel closer to the dirt I called home that particular night. Thanks for making rad tents!

Great for backpacking, stored in a different dry sack than the bike pack one. I love all the storage compartments. Kept me dry! I had rain every night the wet fabric kept getting stuck in the zipper. Little frustrating when you're trying work quickly. All in all great tent. Looking forward to many more nights in my tent

Purchased this tent to replace the Fly Creek UL that I previously owned - it is head and shoulders better than what i had! I was drawn to the tent as it's specific to bike packing and has shorter pole sections and comes in a smaller, compact bag, to better fit as bike luggage - I put it into a traditional style saddle bag, and the poles and tent fit perfectly, with room for my pad and sleeping bag. Once I got it pitched, it was so much nicer. I prefer the side entry of this tent as opposed to the end of the Fly Creek, and I also have more numerous and useful pockets to store my bits and bobs. The main area is away from the door towards where your feet would go - it's nicely sized so you can pile your stuff sacks for the tent, pad, and sleeping bag easily. At the head end of the tent, there's numerous other pockets, mostly small, but well placed for glasses, a phone, or other small items you'd want to keep readily available. Brilliant. All in all, I'm in love with this tent! It's solidly and thoughtfully designed, well made, and enjoyable as a home away from home. I can't recommend it more highly

Great tent I'm truly happy , so coming back from Austria and the Julian Alps in Slovenia here's my word - my complaining is only meant to be practical , I'm 98% satisfied and happy !!! That said - annoying the rain fly sags in excessive rain and a lot of condensation, Normal for a tent I suppose ! Rain fly door loop is way to low and door is constantly in the head way . That said , the compression sack is wow , you can really pack this tent down small and is already light weight, nice job on the helmet holder finally can keep the slugs and critters and rain and morning dew off my brain cover ! Great reflection accents and guy lines though out , the tent fly can be well adjusted for a tight set up . Really big mesh store pocket was a life saver Ali used the mesh media pocket o I've my head to watch Netflix, lol The tent has loops and adjustable straps for whatever and the rain fly can be well adjusted and tied down , need in heavy rain! I can't imagine anyone has a better Mountain Bikepacking/Backpacking tent on the market and with Big MAMAS Agnes quality love and price what's holding you back . Get the tent and get outdoors! PS- ladybug not included ...

WoW can't believe how incredibly small and light this packs down , I originally bought the Birdbox ( also a great tent ) but for my needs I'm not going to keep the birdbox tent . This Copper Spur HV UL1person tent is wow built ... Great stash pockets all over this tent also little notches and loops for tying and drying all over . Packs down super small and light weight , love the reflective accents and orange color . The bike bag it comes with is so sturdy and there is even allittle room in the top for a sleeping sheet or a ground footprint. I'm very very impressed ... I'm in love , don't tell my wife ... PS: stay tuned for a second review , Next week I'll be Mountain Bike biwaking in Slovenia ???? in Triglav N.P. Till then....

I've taken this tent out on a handful of multi-day bikepacking trips and its been very solid. I'm very stoked that it fits between the hoods on my drop-bar bike (with the use of a Salsa Anything Cage). Its lightweight, roomy, and kept me nice and dry in a gnarly rain storm.
