Love this bag. A big upgrade from my previous Camelbak. Compartmental storage is great and enjoying the easy to access hip pockets. You know I got that HAWG on me!

For the 3rd year in a row this is the most requested pack for our team of 24 MTB guides here in Moab. It just does everything right; carries the loads, wears comfortably and securely and is even made with some sustainability in mind via their REpurpose program. Thanks Camelbak for making such a kick A$$ pack! Signed - Western Spirit Cycling guides: Since 1990, MOAB, UTAH USA ????

This is my 4th Camelbak including my sons 1L, my 2L (20 year old) Mule, & my wifes Daystar 2/3L. We also have 3 Podium Chills, and recently bought lids for them and other bottles because of the great shut off valve. (I hate all the cheap free swag bottles that leak... why not just call them cups?) Your packs have been with me biking and hiking all over the Carolinas and southern mountains, kayak snorkeling in the USVI, and to bottom of Grand Canyon twice. They have holes scraped in Zion Canyon walls, and stains from 3 day music festivals! Anyway, usually I'm not super brand loyal, and I would never buy a pricey brand like Gucci because of label.. but I love your products. Just like my Northface tents... they hold up and perform time and again. I've bought cleaning brushes, bite valve packs, hoses, and replacement bladders over the years, and you just keep slightly improving while still delivering a high standard. Please make smart business moves to keep doing what you are doing, it would break my heart if you sold out and broke my tools. Thanks and have a great week.

Very good pack, coming from a HAWG from over 10 years ago, there's some features missing that were a part of my old pack, integrated rain cover included with the bag, and with a storage pouch for said rain cover. I feel like the mounting for the reservoir is a big janky compared to the old version. But overall the bag is great, extremely lightweight and has ample storage for your tools, room for a layer of clothing and the bag feels very good to wear out on the trails.

Better then my other none camelback product. Love the easy access to bladder. Needs a small pocket to access small items such as phone or snacks on shoulder strap like the Chase has. Or an attachable pocket as an accessory.

The pack is great. Lots of storage and lots of water for long rides. It weighs less than the 20+ year old MULE that it is replacing.

Lighter than previous generation, stays put during technical riding, plenty of storage for hydration, tools, etc.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to provide feedback. I've only ever owned Camelbaks, and have enjoyed seeing them evolve from the first version that I bought back in the '90s. This is the first time that I felt the usefulness decline from my previous model (Mule). Here are my observations: 1) The pack moves around and out of position. I've tried adjusting straps but cannot seem to find the right combination to hold it in place. Am wondering if the air-flow design moves the weight too far from my body. Having to push it back into position during a ride is not optimal. 2) The magnetic combination chest strap clip and water tube holder is more trouble to locate than a clip, so putting the tub back in place takes more time and attempts. Also, as an attachment for the chest strap, it is too easily accidently released when either adjusting the strap or fidgeting around trying to put the water tube back in place. The water tube can also release from the magnetic perch while riding if my body comes in contact with the mouthpiece. 3) There is what appears to possibly be a key holder on a leash inside the pack, but I cannot figure out how this works. 4) I don't have wide enough shoulders I guess because the shoulder strap on one side always feels like it is about to come off my shoulder- even with the chest strap pulled almost all the way in. 5) I don't know what the improvement is for redesigning the clasps for the main pack and waist belt. With the engagement wings (sorry, don't know the correct term) exposed I worry about breakage, and I have more misaligned, partial engagements with this design versus the old clasps 6) Overall quality looks good, and the waist belt is cool with the extra pockets- especially when I was missing having a handy zippered pocket for quick access on the main pack. Hopefully, you'll find these comments useful. Please reach out with any follow up suggestions as to how I can get more enjoyment out of this pack. At this point, I am thinking about sewing up my old Mule and putting it back in action.

I like the pack, I don't like the half zipper on the reservoir compartment.

My main complain is that the pack straps are a bit flimsy. I think if they were thicker they'd last longer. I also think the Hawg should come with a rain fly. I had to order one special for this pack. Otherwise, the pack is great and I'm sure it wil last for years.

This review is based primarily on the fact of the integrated protection. And three starts because the protection piece is just too small. In comparison to, e.g., the Evo packs that include back protection, the Hawg offers far less protection in terms of top to bottom coverage of the spine. One of my specific reasons for choosing the Hawg was the integrated protection and it just doesn't do the job like other options do.

This a great hydration pack. It's very comfortable. Doesn't feel heavy when I wear it and it's full. It has a surprising amount of space for non-water storage. I can fit a sweatshirt, laptop, cables, extra water bottle, and snacks all with a completely full water bladder. The part that I don't like, and I actually really dislike, is that it's a total hassle to fill the bladder. Taking it empty out of the bag isn't a problem, but putting it back in is really annoying. To slide the full bladder into the side of the bag, even when empty, is a pain. There's too much friction. It's a heavy bag, and you don't have a good angle holding it at all. It's hard to clip into the hook that holds it up when it's full because you have to hold up the weight of the bag from the side. I don't understand why the zipper doesn't just go even a few more inches across the top, so that you can just drop the bladder straight down into the backpack. I can't get over it. I've been filling it a couple of times a day for a few weeks now, and I haven't gotten used to it. It's just a total pain.

South Florida is a whole different ecosystem. It's hot and humid. You have to take a shower after taking a shower. That being said, this bag offers some better than expected ventilation. This bag with a dry fit shirt keeps a good majority of moisture of my back. Fill the reservoir bladder 1/2 way, blow air back into the bladder to fully inflate. Place in freezer so pour spout and tube connection do not get water to freeze on them. When ready for all the way with liquid and that sheet of ice isn't melting all up on your back!

This is a major upgrade from the 25 year old plus Camelback M.U.L.E. I have been using. Ergonomically it is much more comfortable to the point it is hardly noticed on a ride. I am still exploring the usefulness of this hydration pack and will be putting it to the test when hiking the trails in NW Georgia.

I haven't used this as intended... but use it while out out on my motorcycle. It is comfortable for that, but I'm wearing moto gear between me and the pack. As a mountain biker, I think this would be great for BIG days... but not a day to day pack. The straps are all light and breathable and the back mesh seems comfortable... The primary storage compartment is a little tight, which is odd for this size pack. I think the back protector is taking up that space. I miss the helmet carrier I had on my other packs.

The 2022 HAWG PRO is the choice of all our professional guides here at Western Spirit. These hard working individuals live outside 8 months a year guiding clients all over the West. When you're in charge of 12+ guests at a time for an all day adventure you can't imagine the amount of extra tools, food, 1st aid, etc you need to carry at all times. The HAWG gets the job done while still being a breeze to ride with. Having the best products helps us concentrate on our #1 job - taking care of our guests. Thanks Camelbak!??

The pack itself is great. But the magnet in the sternum strap sits right on too if my ICD which regulates my heart. This us a no no.

I'm super stoked on my new camelbak HAWWWGGG. I used to ride with the 10L MULE and it just wasn't big enough for 4 hr+ rides. Never again will I have a completely smashed sandwich at the top. I'm also using it to bikepack on my full suspension mtn bike. I believe it will be the perfect balance of lightweight, yet big enough to carry extra food and clothes. The straps don't seem very sturdy, so I'm a little nervous about the durability of it but only time will tell. So far, I like how the backpack fits. I'm a 5'4" lady and it seems to sit pretty well on my hips.

I have worn this pack on three mountain bike rides and love it. I used the back protector on all three rides with no problems or noticeable cooling issues. Temps ranged from 70-90F. Organization options are good. Only nitpicks are: 1. Rain cover could have been included at this price point and 2. Full bladder is a little tough to squeeze into the side opening. All my other Camelbaks have much larger openings for the bladder. I got the gray version and I like it, but I'm surprised the only oth...
