One of the biggest draws to Yellowstone National Park is its wealth of geothermal activity. Located atop a powerful super-volcano that last erupted some 64 million years ago, visitors flock to the park to view the breathtaking array of steaming and spouting Yellowstone geysers.

The geothermal wonderland of Yellowstone was filmed as part of a crowdfunded docuseries called SKYGLOW. This project focuses on the negative effects of light pollution, which blocks out the stunning vistas of the night sky in brightly lit urban areas.

Watch as the geysers of Yellowstone shimmer and glow beneath the night sky in this unique time lapse video.
