Time is on your side if you are planning a trip to Alaska. The time of year, that is. Summer temperatures average from a comfy 60 to 80 degrees during the day, dipping to crisp 40s and 50s at night, depending on which area of this vast state you visit. With fields of wildflowers, craggy mountain peaks, and shimmering blue glaciers, Alaska is a diverse landscape to say the least.

Not only is this a wonderful time of year to visit Alaska, but there are hiking and camping opportunities galore to be found here. Anchor River State Recreation Area (the farthest west you can drive in the US), Chugach State Park, and the renowned Denali National Park to name a few. Take a look at this mesmerizing timelapse video that captures the natural beauty of this rugged landscape.
