Badgers have a reputation for being aggressive fighters who will defend themselves with vigor using their sharp teeth and claws. But in this nighttime video, they appear to actually be pretty cute and cuddly. Watch as these nocturnal creatures frolic and play in their family group. The nightlife of a badger doesn’t look quite like what you’d expect.

Badgers are found in North America, Europe, and Asia and are omnivorous, eating both plants and small animals like mice and rats. Fun fact: despite their “tough guy” reputation, badgers are incredibly tidy animals. They dig latrines away from their living quarters and clean out their burrows (called setts) each day.
