Yesterday we posted an article on all the lovely creatures you can find in the wilds of the Yucatan Peninsula, but we thought today we’d show you what we’re really talking about with a video that completely embodies all the beauty of nature that exists in this lush region of Mexico.

Bordered on all sides by the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea, the rainforests of the Yucatan are unparalleled in the world of jungle ecosystems. Visitors to the Yucatan jungles can expect to see a wide array of wildlife, as well as some of the most vibrant plant life you’ll see outside of your own gardens. Many tropical plants that grow here are sold as houseplant versions in most of the US, but the scale to which they grow in the Yucatan is impressive.

Although the jungles of the Yucatan are home to more impressive species like the jaguar and a few species of monkeys, these are endangered and threatened species that are not likely to be observed on a tour during normal business hours. What you do see will no doubt satisfy your need for jungle wildlife, as there are plenty of birds, reptiles, mammals, and other forms of life inhabiting this region to keep your attention rapt. Check out this awesome video that gives you just a taste of what to expect in the jungles of the Yucatan Peninsula.
