flower panoramaYes, you read that correctly — there really is a whole week dedicated to the beauty of wildflowers! Far be it from us to skip a beat when it comes to celebrating the glorious nature all around us; wildflowers are just one simple, amazing display of how awesome the Earth is. Starting today and continuing through May 13, the US Forest Service will be offering programs, artistic events, and information on wildflower-laden hikes around the country, and plenty of other local and government organizations will have something lined up to fill your week with vibrant flower power. Since Mother’s Day falls right at the end of National Wildflower Week, you should have plenty of time to polish your flower selecting skills, and if you’re really inspired, maybe pick a bouquet of your own. Here are some lovely images of wildflowers to get you headed in the right direction. Now get out and enjoy the spring!
