Camping offers fresh new experiences that are often unavailable in daily life. One of the best things about camping is finding new and simple recipes that can be made with few ingredients. For delicious and simple snacks, try these five recipes for bread on a stick.
Garlic Bread

With bread, a few cloves of garlic, and a mild flame, it is possible to make delicious garlic bread in just a few minutes. Simply slice the top off of a head of garlic and place it inside a sheet of foil big enough to envelop it entirely. Drizzle the head with olive oil, close the foil, and place in the coals for 30-40 minutes. This will give you nice, soft roasted cloves of garlic that you can press into the dough before you wrap it around your roasting stick. Alternatively, you can rub the dough with a garlic clove that’s been cut in half to infuse it with garlic juice, and then toast. Whenever garlic is involved, it’s all good!
Cheese Bread

Place grated cheeses on the bread after it’s toasted and allow it to melt. Cheese can also be added to the garlic bread for additional flavors. If you want to experiment with flavors, try also added dried herbs to the cheese as it melts, and there’s never anything wrong with a little marinara sauce for dipping!
Spicy Peppers

Carefully open or cut various peppers so that the seeds spill out onto the dough, rubbing the pepper flesh over it as well. Once the seeds and juices are spread evenly across, wrap your dough around a stick and place over a flame so that the seeds get a burnt and smokey flavor. You can even slice the pepper very thinly and wrap it inside the dough for a burst of flavor. The flames will help to sweeten the peppers for a slightly spicy and exotic snack.
Chocolate

Drizzling melted chocolate onto your bread on a stick can make for a decadent little treat. Toasting the bread just a bit longer over the fire will crisp the edges, which will beautifully compliment a dark chocolate, while milk chocolate will be perfect with a lighter toast. You can easily melt any solid chocolate of your choice by placing a pot of water on a rack over the fire with another pot or glass bowl holding the chocolate inside. Slowly stir as it melts to keep it from burning, and then use the spoon to drizzle the chocolate over your bread. Smells like heaven over here!
Honey

This snack can be enjoyed even without using a flame. Pouring honey onto freshly cooked bread creates a simple, yet deliciously sweet snack that also helps to boost energy, making it a great snack to scarf down right before a game of glow in the dark ring toss!
