Everything I wanted for a lightweight hiking boot
Relatively lightweight, water resistant, good sole protection from jagged rocks, supportive, and fit my feet well. I have strong sturdy ankles whose mallelous bones do not like boots so I wanted a low top boot to hike and backpack with. These worked perfectly on recent 5 and 4 day backpacking trips with full backpack. The Goretex seemed to keep puddle water out. They were not tested by more severe dunkings or heavy rains so the jury is still out on that. The sole plate is just stiff enough to lend confidence walking on jagged rocks while still being flexible enough for comfort and efficiency. The only drawback so far and the reason for docking them one star is the uppers sustained a couple of tears in the fabric from tripping on rocks.I would prefer a slightly more durable fabric. It appears that the Goretex liner was not punctured so they still work well.

Good for hiking
I took these up for a climb on my fuji..... Going up these sneakers held their promise....lightweight and durable. On the way down I wished they had more padding for the toes and heal and something to.prevent gravel from getting in. Maybe a mid/high top version would've been better.
