Slightly water resistant, maybe, but not repellent

This jacket is cute, fits as shown, and is about as breathable as a water repellent jacket can be; but I did get caught in a light rain storm while wearing it and it really couldn't handle it. By the time I made it home, roughly 10 minutes, I was positively soaked. Based on the description, I was really hoping it would be a great jacket to have on in case of sporadic summer showers.
