Tougher than silk and thin enough to fit under regular gloves or in a mitten even with large hands (I wear an XL and think liners will NOT fit in an XL glove. Plenty of warmth as a liner glove but are certainly not intended as a primary glove. Most wool liners are too thick and tend to dry slowly. These dry quickly and the spandex in the material makes for a nice fit.

I purchased these liners to add warmth during daily walks. My hands get cold very easily and I have never found gloves that make me comfortable below freezing. These glove liners do not help. Disappointed again.

I read a review about the gloves before buying XL, saying that the fit was big step down to L. I purchased XL along with a order of bottoms and top, just to try. Later I ordered three pair of large, along with three Terramar Headgasket's. It all as good or better then my Under Armour. I'll find a use for the XL's they whern't that bad.

I wear these gloves for running. They are light and warm.Perfect for me.

I used these one early morning on a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park--about 44degrees F at the Trailhead and they kept my hands dry and warm.
