Bought this bag with the intention of commuting to and from work with, that can handle a decent amount of gear, sits comfortably on my bag with little or no movement and it was a success! Lots of small compartments for small item storage. Storage access is very well designed, especially if you’re a bit OCD like myself. While cycling the bag DOES NOT SHIFT on your back so it stays put while out of the saddle. Great purchase ! Highly recommend this for the avid cyclist.

If you want a bomber backpack that looks safari cool without trying this is the one! I get so many compliments on this pack. I love rolling up a blanket and strapping it in the overhead flap. It is perfect for your every adventure and I have now had a pair of sunglasses for over a month that I have not broken. Love it!

This daypack is by far the most versatile pack I have ever owned. After getting it for a recent family trip to Colorado, it proved to me that it is perfect to be used on a hike, as a carry on, to carry your laptop and work gear and it was even used to replace our diaper bag on occasion! The compartments and the comfort of the straps make this daypack a winner for any task. Couldn't be happier!

By far one of the best backpacks I've had. I'm big on functionality and utility and this pack has a place for everything! The side access pockets are great for getting in & out of your bag quickly. The front pocket is big enough for a large women's wallet. The straps are wide and comfortable. I work out of my bag and this bag is like taking a well organized desk with you!

Many pockets for storing and protecting gadgets while traveling. Easy laptop access from the back is great at airport security, and the side pocket holds a water bottle perfectly.

Used it for travel and as an everyday pack since 2015. Straps could use more padding/durability and the mesh side pocket is no longer usable (bummer. That said, would buy again in a heartbeat!

I was tired of carrying à laptop backpack and my gym bag. Saw this bag and right off the bat it was perfect. My gym clothes, shoes, deodorant, small bottle shampoo, laptop, its charger and mouse in one bag. No more hassle to carry two bags! A bit pricey but for the quality and practicability, it's all good.

I recently started working in Philadelphia and take the train to commute, then walk 3/4 mile to my office. I wanted a light backpack that would hold an umbrella, laptop, rain jacket, my lunch, and power cords and accessories. This was perfect for the daily trip.

I have been looking for the perfect EDC bag. I often ride my bike to work. I love the versatility of the bag. I love the look of it. It projects an amazing urban look. Only wish I have for this bag is to have a Luggage strap as I also want to bring it on my travels. Overall still an amazing bag.

I cannot sing enough praise for this bag! I am 5'5 and petite. As a college student in a very rainy, tropical climate, I love how this bag is waterproof. In fact, it proved itself the day I purchased it! Quick dried in about 15 minutes! My major requires me to carry some small, valuable equipment including a glorified USB drive and a MacBook. The lap top pocket protects my MacBook with ease, and I don't have to worry about it being scratched or banged up. The no crush pocket allows me to safely store my USB drives, sunglasses, snacks/candy, and anything else I don't want to risk being smashed. The zippered pocket behind the folding Velcro one on the front is the perfect size for my two composition notebooks. The largest pocket holds my large binder and all of my books, which is great because I have one day a week where I must take them all. I love the zippered pocket on the inside for safe keeping of any valuables. My student ID and writing utensils fit perfect in the pocket under the buckled section. Any student would benefit from using this bag! The style is modern and minimalist. As someone with scoliosis, I need well padded straps and backpacks that distribute weight well. I have over 30 pounds of weight in my bag all the time, and I barely even notice it. The added chest buckle on the shoulder straps bumps the comfort level! I like how it keeps the bag in place, even when I bend down. Bottom line, if you're reading this, purchase the bag!

Bought this as a new all around functional backpack, and it absolutely fits the bill. I was looking specifically for a fold over bag, rather than a roll top, as I find roll tops both finicky and ugly, and was surprised at how hard it is to find a nice fold over bag. I'm so happy to have found this one. I love having a zipper to access the main compartment most bucket fold over top backpacks lack this zipper, so the stuff at the bottom of the backpack is always such a pain to pull out. The zipper makes everything super accessible! I do wish there were some way to clip the zipper at the top, because sometimes it opens itself up a bit, but not enough to be a problem. I'd also get rid of the hard sided glasses case, which just takes up unnecessary room (I just put my glasses in their own, much slimmer, case). However, these are minor complaints compared to the all around convenience this bag offers.

This is a well designed backpack. I like the quick access features. Plus it doesn't feel bulky on my petite 5'2 frame. My one request is that there is an option to have the side access zippers, water bottle holder, and safe pocket on the other side. Ask the customer do you carry the bag on your right shoulder for quick access with your left hand and vice versa. I use public transit to commute and it will take some getting used to, to keep the bag on my left shoulder in order to get my wallet and/or phone.

This bag has been a great daily use bag for work. I have been throwing it in and out of cars for, running through the rain, and rolling over it with my chair for the last 2 years. The only part of the bag that is showing its age is the water bottle holder. The mesh is starting to tear apart, so it will be unusable pretty soon, but the rest of the bag is holding up just fine.I will find a solution to the water bottle problem so that I can keep this bad boy going!

Hello everyone. I received a green version of this bag from amazon about two weeks ago. The fabric feels really cheap. It feels like I could tear it apart easily and that it will not last long... It is also not water repellent. It actually soaks the water... I know this bag is not meant to be especially water repellent, but come on, if the fabric was denser and the weave of higher quality, the bag would react differently to water. Is the fabric used for the green version any different from the others version? In that case I will definitely change it! Because in the end I like the design! But the quality for the price and the reputation of Thule is not as expected. Lots of thread are loose... !! thank you for your answers

Overall a great backpack for school, hiking, and traveling. Looks amazing and functions just as well. The multiple compartments and access to these compartments is well thiught out. My only issue is that the adjustment straps for the shoulder straps always loosen on its own when I'm carrying a heavier load. The strap stoppers (don't know what they're called don't bite the strap at all, and I've resorted to tying them down. This gets to be annoying, especially when I need to adjust the length for different purposes. Also, the side mesh pocket is thin and easily ripped. Otherwise a very functionsl pack.

Love the extra pocket to access computer without opening the big pocket and it's great to stay organized with a slim design! Not too many straps and very comfortable

This is my EDC pack - stylish, tough and organized. Thule product designers (and I) clearly appreciate the advice, "a place for everything, and everything in its place." From the tough material to the crushproof pocket (with removable glasses/etc case) to the nearly hidden middle pocket, this bag is the best. Believe me - I looked at A LOT of similar packs! Great for EDC and travel (slides easily under the seat in front, allowing ready access to everything inside). This great pack is small enough to count as a "personal item," on the reasonable commercial airlines (the discount airlines like Frontier and Spirit will still try to screw you.) So, you can actually have a larger, separate carry-on bag! Based on my 3yo Subterra 25L, I would only offer 4 suggested improvements: (1) an interior RFID-pocket, (2) additional multi-density paying in shoulder straps, (3) hidden quick-access pockets in the shoulder straps for transit cards, etc., and (4) a hidden, quick-access pocket on the top flap. (See Kickstarter and Indiegogo backpack projects for more clever ideas!)

Whether you're commuting back and forth to work or class, the Thule Subterra Daypack is designed to carry everything you need safely and securely. With advanced SafeEdge construction, your laptop is safely protected and there's a protective table pocket with a soft lining so that all of your electronic gear is safe. You have options for getting to your laptop and tablet, either through the top loading compartment or a side zipper, and there's a removable SafeZone compartment at the top for your sunglasses and smartphone. The zipper opens like a duffel so the main compartment opens wide for easy packing, and there's a quick access front pocket that's expandable for your power cords or your bike lock. The Subterra Daypack has a hidden zippered pocket for gear you need often like your headphones or gloves, and an organization pocket with a key clip offers you more storage options. Finally, you can clip on a carabiner for extra gear or a bike light to the integrated daisy chain attachment system.
