I received the Regular Wide a few months ago and have since used it in Canada, NZ and Aus while working as a guide. If you're an athletic bloke with broad shoulders, 6ft or under, who's sick and tired of feeling like they're sleeping on an ironing board.. this matt is for you! Hard to surpass in terms of comfort and weight.

After using a Thermarest pad for a few week-long hikes, it developed a tear that was not repairable. Mailed it in to Thermarest and they sent me a replacement. That replacement has been used on the entire length of the Appalachian Trail. It got used for over 1600 miles on the PCT this year and numerous shorter hikes. It did develop a slow leak on the PCT. A piece of tenacious tape fixed that problem. Just got back from backpacking in Big Bend and the Gila Wilderness this past month. We are headed to the Pinohoti Trail and then will be back on the PCT in April. That Thermarest pad continues to keep me sleeping well. My husband also uses a Thermarest. One of the baffles just burst on his. We are mailing it in for warranty work. No air mattress is going to survive all conditions, but with some basic care, a thermarest pad holds up solidly and if there are issues, we know that the company stands behind their products. Highly recommend the brand and their products.

I bought my X-lite many years ago when I worked at a well known outdoor retailer in England, it's comfortable and has kept me warm and comfortable on uneven ground and in the UK winter. On a couple of occasions when using it with my bivi bag, it has slipped down the groundsheet I was using onto the gravel floor of robin hood's cave and the priests hole, and I've still never had any leaks. I'd definitely replace it with the newer version when/if it finally gives up.

Used it for about 50 nights so far sleeping in tarp shelters on rugged terrains sleeping pad is comfortable, warm, light to carry. Not a single hole in it so far, really strong material. All noise it was making when it was new is now gone. I really like this product, only complain i have that it sometimes not always lose 15% of its air through night.I like sleeping on hard surface and i blow it up with stuff sack as hard as i can,and i notice sometimes in the morning it is touch soft, this especially happens when it is cold outside. I have a Thermarest which is 40 years old. Still working fine by the way. My NeoAir XLite is 1/3 the size, 1/4 the weight and works just as well. Warm nights and a comfortable mattress. Now if it only works as long as the first one has. Great products!

Lightweight, but unstable. If you like a firm sleeping pad, this one may not be your best best. Needs to be deflated a touch to provide a stable platform.

Very light weight, warm, easy to blow up and durable. This is a great pad for late season hunts deep in the Colorado Rockies.

Lightweight, warm, and rolls down small. This is a perfect sleeping pad. Not the absolute lightest available, but the tiny increase in weight is worth the extra R value.

I bought this in the winter so I didn't use it until the Spring. Bummed about that because I can't return it now. When I used it backpacking with a group they teased me the whole trip because they could hear me every time I moved even a little bit. I sound like a potato chip bag! I think they used that sliver emergency rescue blanket material in the middle. @ThermaRest - Is there any solution to get rid of the crinkley loud sound without being perfectly still all night? Besides that, the mattress keeps me off the ground and warm, quick to blow up and has an easy-to-use valve.

Very packable, love the smart valve design, fills up quickly with or without the supplied bag. It is quite narrow even as someone with narrow shoulders/hips but good compromise for the compact size and low weight in the pack.

A quality product but I returned it because I found it disturbingly noisy, and the surface slippery. I awakened in the night finding myself off the pad, uncomfortable and cold. I used it only one night convinced it was not the right pad for me.

Amazing bag! Very light, comfy, and easy to use. The filling bag took a minute to get used to to, but once I dialed that in, filling time was very fast.

I REALLY love the NeoAir® XLite? Sleeping Pad! I have used ThermaRest mats for many years now and I think this one is the best yet. I expect to use this over many backpacking adventures as well as car camping and global travel. Though I have a few ThermaRest mats, I justified spending the extra money for this XLite for a few reasons... 1) New Valve... 2) I ordered the WIDE version (so my elbows don't hang off the side)... 3) Double the thickness of my current versions... 4) Size / Weight (great for backpacking, etc)... VALVE: Their new valve design is a huge upgrade from their old one. I can not say enough good things about it. For one, as you are blowing it up air can not escape out in-between breathes. Super cool. You can still make small adjustments in the firmness of the mattress on the fly (in the middle of the night while you lay on it). When you are packing it up after use, the air purges out FAST. Much faster than with the old valve design. I thought that I would not like the Inflation Bag that it comes with, but I found that it snaps on perfectly to the air mattress and withing no-time, you are all set up. It is actually very convenient. You can always blow it up by mouth if you lose the bag or what-not. STUFF SACK: The stuff sack that it comes with is the perfect size. Many tent stuff-sacks (the bag you put the tent in when you are not using them) is super cramped and if you don't fold it up just-right, it will not fit. It is such a pain. Not with this stuff-sack. It always slides in easily. It also has enough room for the Inflation Bag. I even put my inflatable pillow case in the ThermaRest XLite stuff sack with it! Well done ThermaRest. It is always the little details that count. I LOVE that I can store this particular ThermaRest in the stuff sack long-term when it is not in use. It is my understanding that you should store older model ThermaRest mats inflated and not compressed (like a sleeping bag). I may be off on this, but it still gets me excited! THICKNESS: I love that this mat is ~2.5 in thick instead of ~1 in thick! I am a side sleeper and my arms "fall asleep" when I sleep on the 1in versions. MATERIAL: The material is made of a thinner outer layer. No complaints here. This IS the XLite version. I believe it will still hold up to the elements and use over time. Since it is a thinner material, it packs up super small... about the size of a water bottle! It packs small and is super light. Great for travel and Backpacking. Amazing. CON'S: COLOR - Even though I (kinda) like the Yellow color of the mat, I think that it would show dirt quicker. I recently used it to sleep on the floor of multiple public buildings (high traffic areas) recently over 6-days. I did not notice that it appeared dirty afterwards, but would imagine that it may dirty (or show it) faster. It would not be an issue to wipe it down with soap and sponge every now-and-again. This "Con" is not really a big deal to me despite all of the changes.

Male, 6'2", 250lbs. Back and side sleeper mostly. Holds me up comfortably, and so far, durable enough. Super easy to inflate, especially with the included inflation / storage bag. With the release wings, easy to adjust and deflate as well. Packs away tiny and light in the bag. Good packaging, good materials. On the small side, width-wise, but I wanted that, specifically. Full marks.

I am a slim guy at 5'5" so when I bought my Neoair I bought the womens version. At the time this had an R value of 5.4. I use this pad every time except if I will be camping on snow. Never had a leak and it's really comfortable as long as you let enough air out. It must be 3 or 4 years old now. Very happy with it.

Brilliant pad, except for it slowly loosing air throughout the night which seems to be a common problem. checked the pad for holes and nothing so it must be the valve. Apart from that it really is the best sleeping pad there is. Mines quite too, about as loud as some of the self inflating pads I've had

Love the regular/wide size, 2.5? thickness, and 4.2 R-Value. Super comfortable! After multiple trips and many nights in the back country the pad started deflating in the middle of the night. I looked for any leaks but couldn?t find any. My frustration finally prompted me to send it in for repairs. Much to my delight Thermarest sent me a brand new sleeping pad. Now that?s the kind of customer service that builds brand loyalty. Over the years I?ve bought 6 or so pads for me and my family. The NeoAir XLite is my favorite! Great Pad!

I?ve spent a few nights on this already, taking my dog camping for the first time. Even in a thunderstorm when he was pacing around the tent and frequently stepping on the pad, it?s had no issues with durability. Very tough for how light it is, and comfy too!

Excellent pad. I read a lot of complaining about the noise but I only noticed it the first night on the trail. In my opinion it isn't bothersome enough to take away even half a star. I will be getting the women's pad as well to try out as I toss during sleep and may need the wider pad to accommodate.
