I used this last week for a 5 day hike, 9-13K altitude. It gave me a comfortable nights rest and was easy to pack, blow up and deflate. Grateful to have this gear!

This sleeping pad is fantastic. I have used on several multi-day backpack trips in BC with temperatures ranging from 15 C to -20 C and I have never been cold. Its a good investment in quality gear.

The following yarn is my attempt to give an honest and accurate review of the Thermarest NeoAir Xtherm NXT Max ultralight extreme conditions sleeping pad. To whom it may concern.. Packability and inflation: I have found the Xtherm to be and incredibly light and packable the supplied carry bag is well sized. It is easy to stow the pad inflation bag and patch kit without the need for special positioning of the tongue or the use of foul remarks. Inflation is simple and though it does take a bit of time at the end of the day, it is of course the trade off for a compact mattress Thermarest's new valve is a pleasure to use and feels to be of a good quality the fill bag snaps on very readily and can even be left connected when not in use. Comfort and warmth: The Xtherm boasts a generous 3 inches of cushion when fully inflated which allows for adjustment of pressure to fine tune support without compromising on its insulation. I found it to be perfectly comfortable and supportive with adjustment, even when on my side and the reflective insulation kept me warm throughout the night. A note on insulation, the early Xtherm's were a bit notorious for making a noise like a chippy packet being handled when laid on. I found the new NXT model to be very quiet and was not at all bothered by it which was very encouraging! Another note on insulation: I was a tad concerned this would be too warm for warmer weather as I'm a bit of a hot sleeper, however I have found it comfortable at all temperatures so far and found it regulates body heat very well. I chose to purchase the max model in a large as I tend to like to spread out a bit when I sleep. I found it to be an excellent fit and never had any problems sliding of during the night. Though I would encourage buyers considering purchasing an Xtherm to first measure their tent as I could see two Max models would be a rather snug fit in my Sea to Summit Telos 2 The build quality is excellent, though it's incredibly light it feels like it will be around for many years to come. In conclusion it's the most expensive plastic bag I've ever purchased but it's definitely worth its weight in gold. 5 out of 5 stars ??????????

I've had two of these sleeping pads for years and wipe them down after use, and they work wonderful! I actually use it as a yoga mat, when not camping! Is there a special way to clean this pad, that I should be aware of, to make it last longer. Please advise. Thank you. Ann

This is my 2nd thermarest which deflates after 2 hours of inflation while I am lying on it. I have to re-inflate it 3 times during the night. Can you tell me as i am hesitant to buy a third one. The old Bordeaux camper's sent you my first one one month ago. What about il Thanks

Lite and easy to pack. The only concern that I have is it popping, this is an expensive pad that will require more ground protection.

I got my first thermarest air mattressin the early '80's after holding out for a few years. Just got to use my latest version and I am blown away at the improvements over time. Warm , light and the valve is a big improvement. Looking forward to trying it out in winter.

Super fast shipping. Quiet new design fir a better sleep. It felt as warm but slightly thicker in the same package. Great pad for all seasons. I might get a regular version to be able to fit in 2 pp tents as two max pads are a bit too tight.

The inflation system requires too much time, and effort. It also does not work with any of the adapters for lightweight air pumps. Not that I want to carry an air pump backpacking but yours leaves me no choice. My Nemo Air Tensor has a frictionless, simple, easy, fast air bag that fills my former 25" wide 'mattress with 3-4 breaths. Why is yours designed so badly? Also yours sounds like I am sleeping on 15 potato chip bags. Way too loud. I do like the higher R value which is why I bought it and for the extra toughness of the surface. If some designer could put it all in one air mattress than us just getting 2 out 5 things we want it would fly off the shelves. 1. High R value, tough surface to avoid punctures, easy inflation with 3-4 breaths, not noisy to sleep on, and lightweight.
