Great purchase, very glad I spent the money. Very comfortable, packs much better than I anticipated and you can make it as firm as you need it or leave a little air out for a softer feel. It also is very easy to inflate.

I have a nuCamp Tab 360 and the mondoking 3d XXL is the perfect fit for their twin bed. Used over the top of the cushions in the camper, it makes the bed so much more comfortable. And I love how it rolls up small for easy storage. Way better than a mattress topper.

Flat in 1. 5 hours on the first night of the second camping trip ever for my new Mondo King XL. 15 nights use for $250. I spent the final 13 nights of a wildland fire assignment re-inflating this mattress every 2 hours and lost lots of precious sleep. DO NOT BUY THE MONDO KING!

Very comfortable to sleep on, does take a minute or two to inflate, but that's to be expected with the volume.

Excellent car camping pad. Self inflates most of the way, minimal noise while sleeping and moving around, and rolls up nicely.

This is way more comfortable than your average camping mat. My only regret is not getting the wider width. It is plenty wide enough for one person, but I roll around a lot. Once you find out just how much air to put in for your personal preference, it's perfect. The storage bag that also inflates the mattress is so handy.

For any father that has experienced the dad couch/chair in the hospital this mattress is the bees knees and the ducks guts. It turns what I can only explain as an attempt to put the father in as much pain and agony as his wife into a soft delicate cloud bed. This fit perfectly on the dad chair and was complimented by all. Additionally this mattress has performed extremely well camping. Fathers to be this is a neccesity.

How to keep this short... I'm 72. Started back-pack camping in 1966. There were no back-pack camping mattresses, and if there were camping pads, I never saw one. In the early eighty's, as a"die hard" San Francisco bicyclist-skateboarder (Three spinal surgeries: w/ metal rod in 1976, then broke the rod and replaced it with a hip bone graft in 1986) I became passionate about snowboarding. Simply put: I discovered Thermarest sleeping pads and was able to go anywhere someone would let me lie down for the night, and get a good night's rest, then get up and go snowboarding. As a result, I became well employed in the industry. Now, I live on a boat, where I sleep on the Thermarest Mondo King over the standard foam mattress. (The bedside lockers won't open if blocked by a thicker mattress.) So, 40 years with Thermarest. Great memories, and a good back... HAPPY CUSTOMER!

A bit big and bulky, but it's great for summers when my husband and son sleep in a tent in the backyard. We've yet to take it camping but so far they are more comfortable than the air mattress we were using.

Used my new Mondo King on a 2-week fire assignment in Oregon. Got some of the most comfortable sleep I ever had while working fire. Bulky to pack, but worth it to sleep soundly. Pad inflates fast, kept air through 60-degree temperature swings, and over a two week trip with no losses.

I have tears inside my hip joint that make sleeping very painful and I don't want to stop tenting. This mattress is phenomenally built. I love the StrataCore construction (inserted foam strips) and it's soft to the touch too! It inflates thick enough so I don't feel hard ground, even on my side. I love that I can sleep right on the edge (my dog is a bed hog) and I don't feel any sag either. Yes, it's a bit bigger to backpack, but I'm still out there doing it and not stressing about a painful nights sleep anymore. I have always been a big fan of Therm-A-Rest products. I LOVE their pillow line up too! I also have to mention that it IS easy (and quicker than you think) to inflate with the pump sack. The dual valves are a well designed system of efficiency. So happy that I splurged on this!

This is easily the most comfortable real mattress like sleeping pad I have ever had the pleasure of sleeping on. I've been sleeping on XXL Mondo King every night for the last 4 months now due to being on deployment. I haven't woke up with an ounce of back pain. I'm a bit of a side sleeper and I more than comfortable on my side. I think what I love the most about this sleeping pad is the cushy foam layer that lines the top makes this feel as much like a real mattress as possible. The best part? Being able to pack it away as convenient as possible. Is it the smallest pack size? Definitely not but the comfort this guy gives is unmatched. The pack size is worth it. I would highly recommend this to car campers any day. If you can afford the weight and space, this is the sleeping pad for you!

I sleep outside a lot in a cowboy style bedroll. I have slept on memory foam for years but recently purchased a MondoKing XXL. Best, most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on. Hands down. Also it is very easy to manage and it is lightweight by bedroll standards. Great product.

I gave this bag a full five-star review. I used it for many years, and it just needed replaced. So I bought another one. Previous design had a smooth surface. New design has ridges on the surface, and I can feel them, so I need a pad for the pad. Doesn't make sense. Why the change? It wasn't for loyal users. Poor redesign. I am disappointed with the change from a wonderful pad to new design.

I would have given this sleeping pad five stars but at almost $300 and it not being perfect, it gets a four star review. Yes, it is super comfortable and fairly easy to inflate. However, after a few uses the pad, even with the valve open and being rolled up several times to get all the air out, won't fit in its stuff sack any longer. This is for easy car camping and the like and it's supposed to be easy to put back in the stuff sack. It's impossible! I remedied the situation by buying a jumbo laundry backpack sack for college students and can put the pad and inflation sack/stuff sack in there and now it's easy! Thank you for the very comfortable sleeping pad! However, it is a little pricey!

I have owned this pad for 5 years or so. Use it at least 2 times a year and just this year took it out on a ruck into the woods on a -15°F overnight. Honestly I'm incredibly impressed. I'm 6'2" 200lbs and I have spondylothesis of my L1 among other issues in my spine that cause me to toss and turn quit a bit. This pad delivers the support you need and the space for me to adjust my body without sliding off. While sleeping in the cold I never once noticed any coldness from my pad. With it in the bag and strapped to my pack, this pad made it through the brush and thicket. Although my bag did suffer a hole here or there, probably due to thorns, my pad was in touched. I couldnt be happier with my purchase as I am using it now while I type this in replacement of my current bed until my new mattress is delivered.

This is an exceptionally comfortable pad. It's thick enough to provide a wide range of adjustments so you can dial it into your preferred firmness. The pad is quiet when moving around on it, and makes a great base camp/ car camping pad. It seems to be pretty durable for the weight, and well constructed. My one complaint with this pad is the connection between the inflation sack (included), and the valve on the pad. It takes a bit of fighting to get it connected, and I am worried that either the valve is going to break, or I am going to poke a hole in the material during the connection process. This may improve with wear, and currently, it's a pain to make work. Overall a very good product.

Wish I'd paid attention to the pump sack complaints. My pad is in the shop, attaching and removing the sack is a nightmare. The pad valve pulled out after 5-6 uses. The pad is as comfortable as you'll find. For the cost of this thing you could put something with threads or more pliable plastic. Most campers are armchair engineers but when it comes to sleep I want to sleep. Not jack with 'high quality' design issues.

This thing is awesome. Luxurious sleeping on the ground. There's no Basecamp mattress comparable.

I think you folks could come up with a better inflation valve fitting. Stuff sack fitting is cumbersome. I mickey moused a fitting so I may use a bike inflation pump. These mattresses are to my mind costly enough you could devise a better valve fitting. The mattress does not inflate itself without assistance with compressed air. Breath air puts moisture inside which may over time cause mildew. Mattress is comfortable, nice job there. Quick shipping and perfect construction are appreciated. The inflation/stuff sack interface could be improved. Nice to see something made in USA. Best Wishes. Glen

The most comfortable camping mattress I've used, and I've used plenty. It is obviously large and heavy, but it is worth it for many trips. l canoe trip, and portages are easier when one is very well rested, or, put another way, I'd rather "suffer" an extra few pounds for 30 minutes than have an ultralight mat for eight hours. Typical ThermARest build quality, quiet, warm, easy-to-use.
