I thought my 25yr old thermarest pad was done when the valve accidentally got smashed in the tailgate. Repairing my old thermarest was actually really easy with the valve repair kit. I've only spent one night on it since fixing it, but it seems ready for another 25 years around the PNW.

I had an LL Bean
I had an LL Bean sleeping mat with a bad valve that the couldn't support or repair. With just a bit of fitting, this valve kit let me store the function of this otherwise very good mat

Leak problem determined unreparable and mattress replaced, thank you!
I returned it because the leak was not detectable, despite the unweighted mattress deflating slowly overnight. CD replaced the neo air so I was very satisfied.

Doesn't fit REI
Hi writing this review because I took a chance. This valve does NOT fit my REI pad from about 2018. No one said it would fit?it's all on me. Sharing to save others' headache.
the valve is fine quality and it was shipped fast.

Valve worked great!
This repair kit was exactly what I need to repair my Thermarest pad. The previous valve was leaking. I did have to find a way to replace the plastic block where it had cracked (which was a separate issue) It would be nice if that piece was available as well, but I am literally a happy camper for the moment! So glad this valve was available, and shipped so quickly.

Fixed a long loved mattress air valve.
A technician I of REI referred me to the kit. I saw the procedure for obtaining the kit and did so. It came to me in a timely manner. I took it back to REI ( in Jackson, Wy) and asked the same tech if he could apply it for me. I wanted someone more experienced than me to fix my self-inflating mattress. I had it for many many years (at least 30) and didn't want to mess it up. Colby helped me. I'm now traveling with the mattress for several weeks. It seems to be ok. Hope so!
I'm glad that there was a fairly simple solution!! And for Colby.
