Shopper : Your answer to the question as to whether azimuth or quadrant doesn't address the question.  Does the bevel go from 0 to 90 to 180 to 270 then back to zero?  Or does it go from 0 to 90 in each 4 quadrants? Great deal on a solidly built compass. Doesn't need to be held perfectly horizontally to work. Love the declination adjustment--it's easy to use but stays out of the way.
