Packs small and has plenty of space

I'm a motorcyclist of 45 years and was looking for a tent for long distance trips. The meteor 3 fit the bill nicely. Will easily fit on the back of a motorcycle when packed up and is very spacious when set up. Loving it so far.

This Tent is Awesome!

I have owned multiple tents by multiple brands over the years but have whittled my collection of backpacking tents down to only Sierra Designs. The Meteor 3 is my latest edition and I bought it for 3 season backpacking in North Carolina, and the ability to roll up the fly so as to capitalize on the view provided by the Meteor tent. I just returned from a 2 day trip in the mountains of Western North Carolina with my wife, 3 year old and dog and boy did this tent not disappoint. It is light and the burrito bag packs well. The tent is super quick and easy to set up and there were no issues with my 3 year old constantly going in and out in her own, in that the zippers were easy to use. I kept the fly rolled half way and the ability to see everything was as awesome as I had imagined. The vertical head wall is a great addition and allowed for sitting up comfortably, which is a feature I never knew I needed in a tent. I?ve seen people complain about the screen ripping but it is a screen tent and I feel like that is to be expected. That being said, my dog slept in the tent with us and there are no holes in my tent? I do intend to sell this tent, but only because my wife is pregnant and I will be needing the 4 person version of the same tent. I highly recommend this tent to anyone wanting a lightweight, easy to set up, super cool tent for 2 maybe 3 season use.

Meteor 3

Great - our family of 3 has used it servers times camping in national parks in Quebec and loved it for its weight, size, height and ease of pitching. Was a bit of a breeze coming in from the vestibule so wondering if we will be cold when camping at altitude. We will check that soon hopefully.

Perfect 2 person tent

Great tent for backbacking and car camping. Perfect size for two adults. Was able to fit the Sierra Designs air mattress in the tent and was still comfortable. The tent was easy to setup and break down and love the burrito style bag which makes it easy to pack back in.

Great River Tent

The Meteor 3 is a great river trip tent. It fits two large Paco Pads with plenty of ventilation for hot summer days. It sets up quickly and I appreciate all of the stakes. Other tents seem to only come with the bare minimum number of stakes.
