Nice pad

This pad fits the bag nicely. I like the waterproof bottom. It is not particularly lofty, but it is good to use as place while camping. It provides a bit of insulation from the ground.

Great for On-the-Go Dogs in Public Spaces

I utilize this for on a weekly/daily basis when I'm in public with my service dog. It keeps him off the sometimes sticky & grimy flooring. While he doesn't need the visual cue for a Down-Stay, it does add an easy cue for a dog to tell them where you want them to park themselves. I added a carabiner to the loop on the back, which I can attach to my backpack strap on the opposite side that my dog is on so it's not whacking him in the head as we walk. It's light enough that it doesn't bother me attached to my backpack. I haven't ever tried washing it, but I do shake it out often, and use a lint roller on the suede-like top to keep it clean. Highly recommend for other service/guide dog teams, or any well-behaved pup!

Great pad for lab

This thing is great. I use it as a portable mat and think it will also work great as a camping solution with the sleeping bag that attaches to it. The bottom is also rubberized to it doesn't slip around and includes just enough padding to be comfortable but not to make it too bulky.

Perfect for Service Dog

I bought this for a portable bed for service dogs in training and place work. It is light weight and fits in my bag perfectly! It's great having a little something between the ground and the dog to keep them placed, comfy and clean!

This mat is great for travel - folds up easily and my dog likes it. I haven't washed it yet, hopefully it holds up.

I take this everywhere!

This is my go-to pad to keep my dog comfy wherever we are. If we find a sunny spot and lay it down, she will take on it for hours! Grass and dirt wipe right off too.

Dogs love it

I got two of these for my labs, and they both curled up on them the first night. I like how they fold up pretty small. Should be good for camping.

LOVE

We love to go on picnics so we bought this as a place where the pups can chill, away from the food and not on the dirt. Opened it up in the house just to see it and the dogs already claimed it so fast! They already love it and can't wait to put it to good use. It fit perfectly inside the haul bag without taking too much space.

EXCELLENT - Highly Recommend

I teach service-dog training lessons to veterans who struggle with a service-connected mental health disability. My own dog is the "demo-dog", "ambassador dog", and "teaching assistant". A 70 lb, female Giant Schnauzer. She is with me constantly. During lesson times, she's on her feet "demonstrating" for students. Other times, she must lie and wait for me patiently, (sometimes for hours) while I do presenations and endure long meetings. In her youth, she was one of those super tough dogs who preferred cold hard floors and bringing a pad along for her was pointless. She consistently refused to use comfy pad, so it was kinda pointless. Now, she's getting close to 8 yrs old, and for the past year or so, has decided she no longer likes to lie for long periods on cold hard floors. She's also shown she's darn choosey about what she likes to lie on or not. I've tried half a dozen different pads/mats/rugs for her over the last year. Most of them area also too big & bulky for me to carry around with all of my other presentation equip. This Ruffwear Highlands Dog Pad has solved all problems. Super lightweight and easy to carry for me. The dog loves the surface and is clearly happy with this choice. The larger size of the two is perfect for a 70 lb dog (slender&fit) to stretch out comfortably on. Thank You Ruffwear !!

Folds up small but quite thin

I had read the reviews so I was expecting it to be thin, but be warned this is not suitable to give your dog much loftiness for an overnight sleep on hard ground. I bought to keep in the car so if I'm having coffee on a bench or sidewalk, he is able to be off the cold ground.

Perfect for tucking

I'm training a large dog as a service dog and it's important for him to tuck in the smallest possible space when out in public. This mat is perfect for starting his "tuck" training . And it keeps him clean and dry no matter what surface he's laying on. Here is his first time on the mat prior to any "tuck" training at all. I'm so happy I found this perfect mat!

Best to go mat

I have a service dog and I've been using a yoga mat or a blanket or a carpet mat but none of those options travel well or give enough padding. The foldable mat was not only easier to bring places, but the nonslip bottom is durable rubber type material, and the top is almost suede. The padding is the same thickness as a yoga mat, but with the added layers on top and bottom to make it waterproof. Hands-down, this is the best Mat for public outings.

It's a hit!

I got the pad as part of a sales promo when purchasing the sleeping bag. A bit bulky for hikes but will be using it on canoe trips. Dogo approves!

Lightweight and well-made

I bought this to keep my pup off the cold wet ground when camping, and to take into restaurants (he's a service dog) so he knows his spot under the table. He seems to like it. It's not fancy nor fluffy, but it's a good option for a quick nap.

Compact & Portable Place

By May E.

My dog, Wyatt, and I love this so much! I always bring a mat for Wyatt to lie on at restaurants, etc. so he has a "place" to stay and be comfortable in, and my old one was dirty and bulky. This is so compact and chic. He's currently lying on it in the office. I love that it bundles small enough for me to throw in my work purse and is easy to wipe off. He's a 60+ lb pit bull, and I got the medium, which works great. If I were using it with the sleeping bag, I might get the large so he has more...

Tapis confortable pour le camping ou en refuge

By Julie H.
