I didn't even buy this bag to use in a boating environment where it might go overboard or be thoroughly drenched in a squall. It's not a roll-top and I didn't expect total impermeability, but, if it gets sprayed,or rained upon, it leaks. At this price level it should have sealed seams. In dry conditions, the zipper gets very uncooperative if it is exposed to dust, such as on a dirt road. It has some good features too. The emergency pack conversion straps are great in a pinch. The fact that this duffel is available in white is great for not baking the contents and being able to see your stuff in the bag. That said, it won't stay white for long, wherein you'll want to spray it off (yep, it leaks). It's well made aside from the corner cutting on seam sealing. I can't really recommend it--why get an overpriced PVC duffel that leaks? There are much cheaper alternatives that will leak just the same.

Tried this because I don't care for the roll top style that seems to be the current rage and to replace one from XS Scuba that gave good service but finally wore out. Very sturdy and functional, looks like it will last a long time and the size is large enough for two divers without being "stupid big"

I bought this bag 3months ago and I love it. Great product in overall. I work as a lifeguard and this bag is very practical! All my coworkers asked me where they could find the same one. The overboard duffel bag is a great versatile product as it can be carried as a backpack or a duffel bag. It is also well designed, with accessible pocket that help organize your personal belongings. The waterproof aspect is the second best after the optional shoulder straps. I would recommend this product to anyone.
