The fit is perfect for me. I have a shorter torso and this works great. It reminds of my old Sirrus. It is roomy enough to hold hiking gear for a full day. I especially love the front stuff pocket. I will be using this for my upcoming Camino in Spain.

Comfortable. Heavier than my small talon 22. Would prefer a lighter airs cape frame. The wide hip belt barely reaches my hip bones. I Iike the Burnt Orange color. (Pampas Red) A little harder to reach the higher water bottle pockets. Still 5 stars.

I've been a huge fan of the Tempest 22 for about a decade now. I love its versatility. I hated that my original was unable to be repaired. One wish I have for the upgraded version is the women's color choices. I've always liked the men's color choices better. I've never been a fan of pink, purple or teal. That really limits my choices. I also wish the hip pockets extended just a bit further towards the front for easier access. Two minor details that won't keep me from enjoying my new pack. Thank you for your dedication to quality and customer service.

This is my third Osprey pack. Love the guarantee! I use this pack for day hiking in the mountains. Sometimes in cold weather, I start out wearing warm layers, but need to gear down along the trail. I like that this pack can contain my pack-able winter jacket and light or medium fleece. The main compartment also holds microspikes, binoculars and snacks. The deep mesh pockets securely hold my water bottles, extra hat and heavier gloves. The adjustable fit makes this a perfect pack for me.

Doesn't seem to hold as much as the previous version as it has fewer compartments. Fit is still good for a small person. Color is ok but I liked my original pink.

I have never owned such a functional, comfortable daypack. The waist belt takes all the load and I literally feel like there's nothing on my back. Fantastic design and features! Couldn't be happier with it!

After 8 years, I just replaced my very well loved Talon (thank you Osprey guaranty) with the Tempest. Great fit and air circulation, great color with all the features I've grown to love (accessible hip pockets, hiking pole straps and water bladder hook) and the women's version fits me better (5'3). I've used it primarily for day hikes (5-10 miles) and comfortably holds all the essentials. The only things I miss is the outside bungee cord which made my rain jacket more accessible. Highly recommend this pack

I had a warranty issue on an old backpack. Osprey peeps were wondeful. Communication and quivkness were much appreciated. Love my new backpack.

I received this backpack as a replacement for my old Tempest 20. Although I miss the cinch strap on the stuff pocket, this backpack is much more functional. The lumbar support is far superior, The Tempest 22 has the best lumbar support I've ever experienced in a backpack. I'm petite and have had spinal fusion surgery. I'm not supposed to carry a lot weight on my back so good lumbar support, a hip strap, a chest strap, and a lightweight pack are necessities for me. It's very difficult for me to find backpacks that fit my small frame and provide all of these features. This backpack is the best I've found by far. It's comfortable, has good back ventilation and reduces the amount of back pain I experience while hiking. I love that it doesn't have many internal pockets and organization because those features always add a lot of unnecessary weight to a pack. I also love that it has hip pouches, water bottle pockets, a stuff pouch on the outside and a space for a water reservoir.

I cannot say enough about Osprey. First of all this bag is perfect. It fits my body just right (I have a very short torso) and the bag sits exactly where it should. It's lightweight, yet sturdy, and the colors are beautiful. Osprey generously honored their fantastic warranty and sent it to me as a replacement when they could not repair my previous Osprey bag. Their customer service is fantastic. But back to the bag: it is designed so well and the pockets are all where they should be. If I had one request it would be that the front waist pockets be a little larger so that I could fit my iPhone Pro Max in them. But in general this is a winner bag and I have plenty of room for everything I need for a long day hike: a couple of jackets, a hat, my food, first aid, a large water bottle, sunscreen, a ground sheet, a knife, a brush, insect repellent, my phone, my car key, and miscellaneous little things I like to have when I'm on the mountain. Thank you Osprey!!! I'm a fan for life.

This pack makes any load feel weightless! I have worn it fully stocked with supplies, food, and water for day long hikes through the desert, and the weight is perfectly distributed down my legs, allowing me to keep my posture upright and stay fresh. Thank you, Osprey, for such a great product!
