I have owned this rain hat before and if I leave it hanging around it gets stolen. Bought 2 this time and paid $41 each. It has approximately a 3.5 inch brim in rear and 3 inch in front. Also has a Velcro adjustable strap on inside to adjust to perfect fit (tighten it up in windy conditions) and also has a very handy chin strap (ever try to catch a blown away hat). It is a rain hat so there are no air vents. Keep it secure on off time because if someone sees the Goretex label on the back of the hat.... it may walk away!

I work outside. Lots of wind and rain. The hat stays secure and keeps the rain out, off my neck and glasses. It also blocks the sun and light enough to wear as a sun hat. Bottom line - I love it and would buy it again.

Sizable with a velcro band...fit gets a bit uncomfortable at the lower end of each hat size, but otherwise is a great hat.

Simply put, the best rain hat I've ever encountered. Every person in our fishing camp owns one for a reason, they work. It keeps your head dry and can be crumpled and packed and comes right back. I keep one in my golf bag and another in my fishing stuff.

I live at the beach and do a lot of walking with my dogs. My new rain hat fits well, I can wear ear muffs under the hat comfortably and the drawstring keeps the hat from blowing off.

I use the hat for hiking, kayaking, and fishing. The hat is well made, waterproof, and the brim size provides exactly the right amount of rain protection. The interior lining is warm and, in cool temps, it feels good. I fear the lining will feel much too hot in Alabama summer temps. Other reviews report the brim blows up and sticks (velcro) in a breeze and that is correct. It would be nice of the manufacturer included two pieces of velcro to stick on the sides of the hat (color matched) to cure this problem. Overall, I'm pleased with the hat and have recommended it to friends along with the cautions listed above.

The sizing seems to run a little small. Order a size larger than you think you need if you want to avoid "hat hair". The hat has a chin string to hold it on - perfect for windy conditions! The brim is wide enough to completely keep rain away from your face.

I have wanted one of these for years. I borrowed a friend's hat for a white water rafting trip--these hats work great for that. Can't wait to try it for any and all wet weather activities in Western Washington!

Great for that Florida sun, followed by the Thunderstorm. Light and has a brim all around, but you can change that if you want. Has a neck strap for those high speed runs to to the fishing spot.
