I wear these in the BWCA and Quetico where I take 7-21 day trips. These are my second pair. The first pair lasted 10 trips. After 14 days, this new pair still looks almost new. One improvement is the zipper, which makes them much easier to get them off an on. The outsole is reasonably nonslip. The combination of laces and Velcro keeps them from coming off in the worst "loon poop". They have enough structure to do a reasonable job of protecting one's feet from sticks and rocks My only complaint is that they're so wide that, when side-hilling, my feet tend to slide off the foot bed. Also, they're a bit warm for summer, though that's an asset in October. In the fall, the neoprene stays wet for the whole trip. It's definitely worth bringing some sort of camp shoes to let your tootsies dry out and to give you a chance to put these out in whatever sun you're lucky enough to have..

They run VERY narrow and do NOT drain at all. Got them for river wade fishing. The grip is fine. Keeps debris out better than low top shoes. Your feet will be warm for sure because they do not drain even when out of the water. Your feet feel heavy all the time and feels like you're wearing a bucket. Wish I went with the Storm Boots.

These boots are awesome and have a variety of uses. I use them for kayaking, wet wading for fishing, etc. Most recently I'm using them for beach fishing on Hilton Head Island. Not only are the products superior but their customer service and support are phenomenal and provide first rate service and go far beyond one's level of expectations!! Highly recommend!!!

I just purchased my second pair of these. The first survived a year of muddy bilges and jagged steel frames; I inspect confined spaces for a living. The neoprene appears to be so thick that it absorbs abuse rather than tearing the outer layers. They are so squishy that they plausibly protect my toes. Note: I wear socks and insoles with my pair as they are primarily work boots and I have to walk miles in them. Overtopping leads to soggy socks but negligible extra water weight to walk around in. Moisture evaporates and gets pumped out over time. It would be really interesting if NRS managed to make a true safety toe (suggest composite). I look forward to another year of living in these!

I'm 6' - 200lbs and physically fit and can go all day on the river/trails. Former Navy Seabee - not a Seal but worked with them often. These boots are designed for in and out of the boat ONLY. If you have to actually walk any distance (more than a 100 yards/meters) or do actual work, be prepared to feel every rock and protrusion. Recently in New Zealand, I had to walk a river bed three miles to camp and was nearly crippled by the time I arrived. I also had to repeat this the next day and promptly bought a new wading boot locally. In and out of the boat - these will do fine - long walks or rescues - keep looking. Navy Seals would only wear these to look cool and walk with their significant other on the beach and that is it.

Bought these to wear over my Simms waders. Works perfectly! Would give ten stars if possible. Thanks for a great product.

I think this water boot is the best on the market. Great traction , good arch support , and a cents of security that won't let you down. I wear them with a light 2mm neopream sock so they are easier to put on , and take off.

Great for rock hopping and hauling gear. Good ankle support (for a river shoe). Somewhat hard to get off and on.
