I love it! Used to own a carlson 6" which was amazing. Construction feels high quality, everything is solid and feels like it will have a long life. My back is injured so I hate really having to bend over and do anything, but the ultra high volume makes it a breeze!

Our pump arrived with some superficial damage, but we needed it for a camping trip so I kept it. It didn't, however, have an adapter nozzle to stay connected with our SUPs, which we had to purchase separately. That said, it does a great job pumping!

Used and maintained these pumps for years at a local outfitter. They are great for the private boater and small commercial outfits, but daily use of loading and unloading these pumps usually ends of breaking pieces off (the material is much cheaper). If you know you are going to beat these pumps up, I'd go Carson for durability. But overall, a really good pump.

This pump is awesome. My old one was just done. After 10 years of pumping rafts. Overnight trips. Etc. And I replaced it with the same pump. For a good reason. These pumps are awesome!

I didn't even get to use my brand new pump before my 12 year old son dropped it in the dirt from about 3 ft. The handle broken off completely. Certainly not durable.

I bought this Pump 10 years ago in Durango and have used it as my only way to inflate a 15 foot raft, 10-20 times a year. Its never failed me and is amazing how quickly it fills up a big raft. Its a workout for sure...but is great having on the raft. We use it to inflate our air mattresses when camping and our paddle boards 80% as well, obviously just can't get the high pressure out of it. Its a tough pump, we throw it in the bottom of the raft and have never had any issues with it.

This is a replacement pump of the same kind and when I tested it out I was pleasantly surprised on how much easier it worked than the old one. Another great experience with the NRS staff.

The pump has great volume and gets a boat full and to pressure quickly. When in use, mine starts howling at least twice a year and I have to pop the top and spray lithium grease in to get it smooth and quiet again. I also think it's too bad that the hose doesn't slide inside the handle tube for stowage, Would that have been so hard to design for? I used hose clamps to attach a larger piece of PVC to the handle so I can slide the hose in there when not in use. I have not broken the feet yet but I am pretty careful because they do seem thin and a tad delicate. Been using the pump a few times per year for 6 years, still pumps well.

Works great and moves lots of air. But it's a bit bulky for carrying in the raft and a few parts have broken. The strap pulled out right after I got it. I put it back but it just came out again. Then the hose broke off the pump at the base. AND, I wish it could be used to deflate.

Pump is bulky and I've had problems with o rings breaking and other parts coming apart inside pump. I would not recommend this pump.

A barrel pump is the reliable way to inflate whitewater rafts to full pressure. Electrical pumps don't provide full pressure, and shop vac systems requires AC power. The NRS pumps work well, but are bulky, with the stiff hose hard to stow. The connection of the hose to the pump base is a potential failure point. The plastic feet have broken on most of the pumps used by an outfitter that I guide for. The moving parts can be removed quickly for cleaning and o-ring replacement. The pump is easily lubricated through a top port.

Im an Alaskan guide and use this pump for my 20 Zodiac MK V HD my Aire Lion 18' cataraft. It is a bit bulky but very comfortable to use and really moves some air. The only issue I have is the foot/base broke loose and it is now a pain to use. Also a clip to secure the hose would be nice.

Great pump . It doesn't have a check valve. It would be great to invent a pump that deflates also. This is bomb proof pump.
