Used twice so far, but they're great! Bought 2 for car camping and kids's sporting events. Easy enough for my 8 year old to setup without issue. Super comfy. A bit bulky when packed, but not that much bigger than the common flimsy camp chairs and so much better overall.

Easy set up and break down - could move it around camp easily too. Swings a little like a rocking chair in a nice way, but never felt unstable getting in and out of. My dog likes it because there's plenty room in my lap for him.

I really like the chairs, only reason it didn't get 5 stars was the weight (a little heavy) and the cup holders in my opinion should have been place on the out side. These chairs are really well built and sturdy and should last a long time.

I've been thinking about buying these for years and so glad I finally went ahead and got them. They have been such a big upgrade over our old camp chairs. Reclining under the stars is something I didn't realize I needed until using these!! Also love how easy these are to set up and fold away, literally takes seconds. Another major perk is the carrying case they come with. Super comfy to carry around with shoulder strap and keeps the car from getting dirty when packing them away :)

Great chair, only docking a star because it is much more bulky and heavy than I had realized. That said, very comfortable and sturdy, just wish it was a little more portable.

If you are looking for a supremely comfortable, super well constructed camp chair, and don't care about weight or size, look no further. Not the easiest thing to tote around but man is it super comfortable. No better feeling than rocking by the campfire.

Got this a few weeks ago and I'm stoked, easy to set up, real cozy and the cup holder pockets work better than expected. Heads up I didn't read the specs and it's real big in the bag. Probably 8 inches taller than a normal captains chair, bit wider too.

My new favorite camping chair. Just returned from my trip to Moab and I can't say enough good things about the chair. Not only is it super easy to pack up and unfold, but it's perfect for stargazing and I really appreciate the pockets to store my beverages!!!

I have had multiple of these chairs over many years, at least two different versions, and especially remember the first ones that would pinch your underarm and make you wonder if it would have been more comfortable to be stung by a wasp! I can confidently say, not anymore. This new version, while admittedly heavier and bigger seems to know what its purpose is, which is NOT a backpacking chair, but a super easy to set up chair that is hauled around in the back of my truck. I coach off road motorcycling and after a long day in the field this new version sets up so very quickly, allowing me to get off my feet and visit with clients while having a cool and refreshing beverage. I passed on my old chairs to others in need, just to get them addicted. They may be trading in for the EVO-X sooner than later.

I bought this a in the fall of 2025 after using the original Stargazer chair for years! Right away I noticed how much more user friendly the set up, tear down and packability of the Evo-X is compared to the original Stargazer. While the Evo-X does not pack up as small, the feasibility is much more valuable than the extra space it takes up when packed away. The bag itself is amazing, multiple grab points, padded bottom and padded shoulder sling make carrying the pack an absolute breeze! Whether I am walking from the parking lot to the soccer field or a camp site the chair is super easy to move. I kept my old stargazer and rolled it to my girlfriend, however she kept trying to steal my chair so we ended up adding one more Evo-X to the collection so she would stop trying to steal mine! I want to be clear I don't dislike the original Stargazer however when comparing it to the new Evo-X it's not even close... the Evo-X wins on every front!

I am an avid camper who has multiple chairs ranging from ultralight backpacking fold ups to $15 cheap chairs from big box stores. I finally thought it was time to upgrade. This chair is large, cushy, and great if you want a comfortable place to rest after long days. My only complaint is truly how large and heavy it is. It takes up a lot of space when we're packing up the car to travel. I guess that's what you sacrifice for the comfort!

I bought this chair to take to summer camp. I've tried it out to make sure that I was going to like the chair. It's very comfortable, you can swing, and the recline feature is nice! Way better than a regular camp chair! The only thing it don't have is a cop holder.
