This chair is awesome. I use it primarily sea kayaking and bikepacking. It certainly is a luxury on bike trips; one that I can't always justify. The case/bottom sheet is great on soft ground. I previously used a different company's folding chair on an island in Maine, and just when I thought I had found a solid surface, a leg would penetrate the ground and I would tip over. This happened several times a day. I was never injured, but I may have spilled some boxed wine. Oooops.

I purchased this chair for the weight, the forged aluminum hubs, and the base that keeps you from sinking into the ground. This chair is awesome!

I just bought two of these for me and my girlfriend. I have not tested on trail but have used at home. The quality is incredible however it is slightly uncomfortable on the shoulders (I am 184cm and 190 lbs) my girlfriend is much smaller and thinks it is very comfortable. All around I think it is great for its weight class and will be a great addition to a backpacking trip

After one too many trips sitting on the ground, I finally got around to picking up a chair and I'm glad I did! Great size and weight for sliding into a backpack, kayak, or just taking down to the beach.

For so many years i lugged along sleeves to shove heavy thermarests into, that clipped into some awkward low-sitting ground chair - a struggle to get into and out of after long days on the trail - but also risking damage to your ground mat. Then i went away from chairs, or any seats--beyond the patch of comfy dirt or rocks, or even the padded lumbar support of my pack as an occasional seat-- preferring to minimalist pack into my backcountry hunts. But the NEMO Elite Moonlite chair is a gamechanger. So lightweight, strong enough to support me comfortably (i'm 6-2, 205lbs), and soooooo nice to gently rock in at the end of a long day in the mountains. I can't recommend this enough.

If you are on the fence about bringing a chair backpacking, just buy this one. Don't even think about it. I recently took the NEMO Moonlite Elite to Havasupai, and it completely changed my trip. While most people prefer to sit on the hard ground to avoid carrying extra weight, I knew I wanted real comfort. This chair comes in at under 2 lbs, so packing it was a no-brainer. It worked flawlessly both at camp and right down by the waterfalls. There is nothing better than having a comfortable place to sit, unwind, and just enjoy the peace of nature after a long hike. I also love the vibrant color because it really stands out. Sure, it gets a little dirty out there in the elements, but it's outdoor gear-it's meant to get dirty! If you want to actually enjoy your surroundings in peace instead of dirt-sitting, highly recommend grabbing this.

I purchased it for an upcoming bikepacking trip where I want to be comfortable at the end of the day. I love that Nemo is pushing the limits on lightweight gear for comfort, as I am getting older and oftentimes comfort is what I am looking for, and miles are becoiming less important. This chair is light and sturdy for my 195 lb frame. I wish it were just a little lighter, but I don't know how you could do that without it becoming unstable.

Great lightweight chair. The frame and x connectors are all metal which I appriciate. Love the beach base for sand. It's pretty much perfect for my wife who is a bit smaller than I am. For me though, it tends to dig into my shoulders at the top connections. Kind of annoying, but I paired with fillo elite WIDE pillow and it is pretty comfy. Would love to see them make one like this that's taller for a head rest. The head rest with a recliner option would be a total game changer and easily make it the best chair on the market for any occasion. Not to mention it wouldn't dig into your shoulders.

The reclining feature is fantastic, and the little clip-in pad prevents the chair from sinking into the ground. However, I did have a few minor issues. First, if I'm not in the right position, the upper poles will dig into my shoulder blades until I readjust myself. Second, the mesh seat is great during warmer weather but can be a bit breezy in the winter. To address this, a small pad or cloth can be helpful. Overall, this is a well-thought-out piece of backpacking furniture that I highly recommend to others.

I bought this chair for backpacking to replace my helo ox chair. Not only is this chair lighter, it's easier to assemble, is elevated off the ground and has an adjustable back. I think the fact that the roll case doubles as a ground cloth for sandy spots. It's also more durable than a stuff sack and can be left at home for weight savings.

I took this chair on a four-day loop through Fish and Owl Canyons in Bears Ears National Monument. It's a tough environment: sandy, rocky, jagged, scrambly. I chose to leave the floor piece at home to lighten the weight. It worked like a charm! Comfy, lightweight, really nice to pull out at the end of a day of backpacking. Sinking into the sand wasn't a problem even though I didn't take the floor piece. Definitely recommended!

Love this chair! Incredibly lightweight, and easy shape/size to pack into just about anything. I've already taken it kayak-camping in the first week of use. It kept me out of the cold sand for almost a week, and with some rinsing to the poles afterwards, it's still going strong. The sand saver is a great little add. If you do use the sand saver and pack the chair away with your things, recommend putting it into a stuff sack so it doesn't dirty things.

This chair has become my stable and follows me everywhere I go. I usually leave it in my car and will take it after every mountain outing for our quick lunch break or to relax by the lake. It's so small, easy to setup, and quite comfortable! There is no way you can regret having this piece of equipment- truly a must have for every outdoor enthusiast!

This chair has been amazing, it fits into any pack even a drawstring sack that you'd use for a gym bag. I'm run a lot of ranges and go underway with crafts that dont have any sort of seating accommodations so having this chair be able to pack down to fit anywhere is such a little luxury. Comfort, so far I've done four 4hr transits sitting in it and have to say its extremely comfortable. Im 5'10 205lbs and its an extremely sturdy chair, the reclining feature is awesome for either relaxing and kicking back or sitting it up to be able to talk to your coworkers. Awesome job NEMO!

I just used this for a hunt. Rolled up nice and tight and slid right into my side pocket on my pack. If you are intentional you can set this up with very little noise. The support was perfect and the seat back adjustment worked really well. On top of all that, this thing is soooo light! It will be my go to for any time I spend in the woods.
