Nemo Astro All-Around Stellar Insulated Sleeping Pad

I bought this sleeping pad just over two months ago, and absolutely love it. I have taken it on a kayak trip, multiple backpacking trips and an extended car camping trip. I have slept on it on rock, dirt, grass and roots, but once you're on it you cannot tell what is beneath you. I got the long wide insulated version as I am 195cm (6'5" tall and intent house this for well into fall, and early into spring. I fit very comfortably on it and only my feet hang off the end, which is honestly an inevitability for me. So far the coldest night I have slept on it was about 5C(41F) however it was in August so the ground hadn't cooled too much, however I did stay nice and warm. Since buying this I have convinced two of my friends to also buy one and they have all loved it as well. I also purchased the pump sack and it works very well, would recommend getting it as well. Set up is very easy, and it is very easy to roll back down into its fully compact state. TLDR; Very comfortable and warm, would recommend.

I bought the Astro over 8 years ago and was a great investment. Not only is it small and lightweight for backpacking but it inflates easily and keeps me warm on cold nights. Plus whether I sleep on my side or back I don't bottom out at night. (I'm 6'2 and 210 I tried the cheap route, the self inflating route, non-insulated air paid route and finally found the Nemo. I didn't like the price at first but after using it just once it wLas well worth the price.

Excellent sleeping pad. The thickness is great for people that sleep on their sides. And its durable enough that it still holding up well after 2.5 years moderate to heavy use. After ~2 years, one of the baffles blew, but conveniently it just made the pillow bigger. It may be an issue if it was anywhere else though.

I have used this Astro and the previous one version many times in the backcountry and think it's one of the best price vs performance vs durability pads out there. It packs down almost as small as many similar pads but the 75D material is a lot tougher than the standard 20D most pads use. The 3.5 inches of padding is very comfortable and setting this up with the vortex pump sack is a breeze.

I've gotten 90 plus nights of use from this pad so far and its holding up strong! Stays inflated always. Has plenty of cushion for side sleepers. Packs small and light. And at first I wasn't sure of the built in pillow, but I have come to kinda appreciate it. Worth the purchase and highly recommend this pad for use above 30 degrees F.

I bought the Astro recently after having other sleeping pads fail me. I’m a side sleeping and always have hip pain. The Astro has been the most comfortable sleep I have every had in a tent.

I have used one of these for about two years now as a professional backpacking guide. This pad is excellent, only a few ounces more than the ultralite version. It's light, compact, and does an amazing job with insulating. I swear I've never slept better in the backcountry. I recommend this product to nearly everyone who asks me about it. My only issues with it are that it typically needs 25 respirations which is a lot for alpine environments, and the valve has been causing me issues (after two years of near constant use. Other than that it's been durable and a dream to use.

I bought the pad a few weeks ago. On my most recent thru hik,e I felt warm in fluctuating temperatures from 92° days to 58° nights. The pad rolls to the size of a water bottle with ease. Compounded with the Switchback, the sleep system had me sweating. The loft helped me sleep right on top of a root that I didn't know was there till I packed up

My wife and I have use the insulated Astro 25" in conjunction with the Tango Duo 30 Down Comforter + Slipcover for over two years in multiple motorcycle camping trips (3 per year) and it has work flawlessly. Camping 2up on a motorcycle is a challenge but the compact size of the Astro is perfect for us. The only issue was to have to inflate two pads every camping night, but thanks to the Fillo Bello 3-in-1 pillow the job know is a breeze.

I just used this pad on a two-week motorcycle trip and was very pleased. The pad packs down small - about the size of a 1-liter water bottle. It inflates to a comfortable thickness in about 35-40 breaths. I'm a side sleeper and the pad provided enough support for me.
