I am very happy with my purchase They arrived on time. I bought these for a trip to Africa but will also use for birding. They work as advertised. No complaint just one happy customer.

The device is superior to economy models in its clarity and wider field of vision. Adjustable eyecups are great. Superior lenses. Heavy. The eye piece caps are Mickey Mouse in design and constantly fall out of place and get in the way when I want quick action to use the unit. Nikon needs to offer tight individual cups to slide onto each rubber eye piece like other units...that I would stick into my pocket when I remove them. Chance to lose them but much better protection than the loose, ill-fitting eye cap that comes with the unit.

These binoculars have outstanding light transmission, color rendition and clarity (resolution). The build quality is excellent, and they are light enough to carry around all day. My only real problem with them, and the reason I didn't give them 5 stars, is the noticeable chromatic aberration along any borders between light and dark areas in the viewing area. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the low to non-existent chromatic aberration in my Nikon photographic equipment, but the amount present in these binoculars seems a bit excessive. It doesn't detract from seeing what I want to see through these fine optics--it just detracts from an otherwise outstanding experience.
