Best choice for a 9y.o. birdwatcher!

I've owned 2 Aculon A211s, the 10x50 and the 10x42. They both deliver acceptable images, insofar as brightness and a rather wide flat field. I had a significant problem with the former, the diopter being unable to accommodate my right eye. Rather than box it up, pay for shipping, etc. (they would indeed replace them, at any rate) I just gave them to a niece and pointed out some constellations and M42. She proclaimed how "cool" they were. Perhaps it would lead her down the astronomical pathway to the universe. I hope so...

Best choice for a 9y.o. birdwatcher!
The Nikon Aculon A211 Binocular 10x42 is engineered with a 10-power multi-coated lens and 42mm objectives that are made from an advanced Ego-Glass that's both lead and arsenic free. The high tech prism ensures you get a fantastic view in a variety of lighting conditions, meaning you can bird watch from dawn until dusk with a bright, clear image. The rubber eyecups turn and slide to let you easily position them for comfortable viewing all day long, and the central focus knob moves smoothly and quickly to let you adjust your range of focus. The Aculon A211 Binoculars are designed to be as lightweight as possible while still comfortably fitting your hands ergonomically. The durable rubber-armored coating can handle any terrain and weather conditions so you keep a sure, non-slip grip when you need it most.
