We have used our Wawona 5-6 times and here are my observations. 1. This is NOT a foul-weather tent. In a strong wind, the tent design allows wind to carry rain under the canopy and spritz everyone inside. 2. If you are unable to zip the bug netting (doors) you will have no defense against mosquitoes, flies, and other critters. There isn't a double zipper that also zips a door in place except for the rain fly. Very bad design. 3. The headroom is great, but, there is so much surface area on the sides that it feels like the tent is going to take off! We were in a squall on Yellowstone Lake and spent 2 hours pushing against the side to keep it down during the storm. You will be well served to get some 12" stakes for the corners and guy lines. 4. The zipper pulls are not reflective and that is an issue when you have to get rid of 32oz of rental beer. 5. This may seem strange, but when you stand up and need something to hang on to, it is pretty much featureless. We ended up stringing para-cord up high from corner to corner to help this situation. 6. Lastly, it does set up pretty quickly for a four-person tent but this doesn't fix the other issues we felt were more important. Set it up in the back yard for your kids in their Jammie's. Yellowstone, Boundary Waters, Cascades are a stretch.

Good one for sure. We love the fact that you can stand up in it and it's got the whole bag thing finally perfect. Of course this isn't going to be a backpacking tent but it is really good for car camping or any camping out there! We also love that the front area is really easy to step in and out of and that you can take off shoes easily with it. Also very breathable with the big screen door. Perfect so far!

Because we love our own Winona 4 person tent, we bought this as a gift for our son and tall (5'11") daughter in law who needs a tent she can stand up in. We've had ours for 6-7 years and it's been great in heavy winds and rain. We've taken it on multiple 7-state road trips throughout the Pacific Northwest, desert southwest and Rocky Mountain regions. It gets set up and taken down about 10-15 times a year (May-September); 2-9 day stints. We are in our late 60's and early 70's and can easily set it up in less than 10 minutes. We sleep on thermarest pads and they want to use their cots (which should fit). Lots of convenient interior pockets and a large vestibule. Nothing has broken. We're not big fans of the tent bag?because the opening doesn't close enough for our liking. The idea of it being a duffel type bag is good but needs a little tweaking.

I have used this in torrential downpour and it kept me dry. Lots of room for me and my two dogs. I love having the extra storage space.

Hand down best thing we got for camping. A queen size air double mattress fits with plenty of space for our camping gear. Two entrances which is key for scaring the little ones.

I used the tent for the first time last weekend. Due to a 15 mph wind, one of the poles bent, and the stakes came loose from the ground. I suggest getting 12 inch stakes.

North Face makes the best gear and this tent is another great add. Perfect size and height for comfy camping, especially in bad weather.

The tent itself is great. The issue that we have is finding the footprint. There are none available. We had to use an old tarp. It works but I would like to have the pieces that are supposed to work together.

I am in LOVE with my new tent!!!! I had a Northface VE24 for the last 35 years and finally bought this tent and I am so happy I did! It is really tall inside and much bigger overall. I love all the venting too. I am a loyal and dedicated fan of Northface tents and highly recommend this one!

Great tent. My only negative comment is I wish your could close up the tent from the inside. I love that you can stand in inside and its an easy set up and take down that I'm able to do myself.

The tent is spacious and easy to put up. The footprint was very hard to find and I had to buy it from an independent retailer and have it shipped to me.

The tent feels very durable and strong. The instructions, however, were extremely poor. The instructions did not include written directions. The diagrams were difficult to follow as well.

Such an incredible tent. Loved being able to stand up inside the tent instead of changing clothes while lying down on sleeping bag. Easy to set up and take down.

I recently used the North Face Wawona 4 tent for a week-long summer getaway in the Sequoias, and it was perfect. The weather was very warm, and I appreciated the tent's windows, which provided excellent ventilation. As a 4-person dome tent, it offers ample headroom-I'm 5'8" and could stand comfortably inside. My son and I used sleeping pads and had plenty of space between us. The tent can easily accommodate two more pads or gear storage, and a queen-size mattress fits inside effortlessly. While the tent is on the heavier side, making it ideal for car camping, the fabric is thicker and more durable compared to other family/car tents I own from different brands. I love the storage pockets on the rear door. The setup is easy for two people, and overall, it's a high-quality tent.

Great for car camping

The size and easy set up (easy enough for one person) make this tent ideal for car camping. Lots of ventilation and storage inside for lamps, headlamps, and things you want to keep off the floor.
