shayne c : Is this free standing?DIANA K : Hi Shayne, the Stormbreak 1 requires set up however can be done by one person. You can technically move it to another area if you wanted as long as you are careful and remove the stakes.

I don’t know the exact weight but you can easily pick it up with 1 arm and flip it upside down while it’s set up. I took it on a week long camping trip and I absolutely love the tent. It’s super nice and very durable and easy to set up and take down.

Buy aluminum stakes the steel ones are heavy

Stormbreak 1

Good, quality, easy set-up, 3 season tent. Performa as admirably in dry and wet conditions. At 6’1”, Wish it were taller and longer by a couple inches, as cannot sit up fully in. TNF makes great tents and is worth your serious consideration!

Lightweight and durable.

Lightweight and very durable. Very good with backpacking. The only issue I have is the height. I am 5’10 and having difficulty even sitting inside. Overall, this is a great back-packing tent to have.

Great tent

I bought this tent several years ago and use it all the time on the Appalachian Trail. I'll keep it till it wears out. Not much room inside, when they say a one man tent, they mean it.

North Face Stormbreak 1

Bought this tent to replace an REI T-1 quarterdome. It's quicker to set up and a little wider but not sure about the ventless rainfly. Time will tell. Need to replace the steel stakes with some lighter weight aluminum to take some weight off. Other than that I think it's a quality tent and I got it in 4 days. Thanks.
