Great Parka!
Excellent fit and spacious. Has a nice relaxed fit and isn't tight. The hood is nice and warm. This jacket is warmer than 1996 Retro Nuptse jacket, which I also own, but doesn't overheat. Nice deep pockets.

This parka is worth the $
I bought this for my son to wear during the frigid Alaska winter. It looks thicker than what we received, but roomy enough to wear layers. Not what we expected but sufficient.

An excellent-quality coat
I have been wearing this coat since 2012-for 14 years now-through Mongolia's harsh, extremely cold winters, in temperatures ranging from -30°C to -45°C. It is exceptionally well-made and, most importantly, incredibly warm. It has never let me down and has always proven to be reliable.

Very good winter coat, but runs really big
Im a 5'10" 170lb Male. Usually wear M or L warment with the preference of things running a bit large. This case, medium was really big for me. Returned it and got a small, and that fit perfectly

Exchange for smaller size
past few weeks weather is really cold, purchase these jacket as soon my size is available, It's well worth it, now using is everyday in cold northeast weather, no need for layering,jacket alone guaranteed to keep you warm

2 big flaws that North Face needs to fix
You buy a parka like this because you know winter is coming. You want classic North Face good looks, but you need real-deal functionality in single digit New York winters. It keeps me warm, but I can only give this parka 3 stars for two annoying flaws. The faux-fur strip on the hood is a snap-on design. The snaps are too far apart, which causes the fur to gap out from the rest of the hood which looks terrible AND obstructs my view. When snow builds up these gaps are even worse. The gaps also make it very easy to get caught on my hand, unsnapping from the rest of the hood completely. I am tempted to take it to a tailor and have the thing sewn to the hood permanently. The second flaw is the material used at the upper-most part of the throat where the zipper finishes. When you have to hide from the wind, these materials/the stitching and construction are not optimized for my comfort. It's rough and uncomfortable at my throat/beneath my chin. I wish they'd have paid a lot more attention to these two details. I realize I can just remove the fur strip, but the fur strip is what makes a parka like this look like such a classic.

Warm Warm Parka
Awesome fit but more importantly extremely warm. Impeccable quality and this is my warmest coat. I wish it had the draw string to tighten middle but overall this coat is worth every dollar.

Great Warmth, Fits Big
No complaints about warmth of entire jacket - even to 0F and below warmth is excellent, everywhere, no cold spots, which is the main function of a winter coat, to keep you warm. Would recommend one size down from your normal North Face Size, at 6'1", 190 lbs, I normally wear a Size Large in North Face coats/fleeces, but this one is huge in the body in a Size Large, I also found the sleeves to be slightly shorter than I would want. But if you need a warm coat and can find a size in this one that fits you, you will not be disappointed.

This Parka Is Very Warm. I use It Here In Mn When I Am Out Doors Snow Blowing. There is A Big Difference From My Old Parka Is That It Has Snaps Instead Of Velcro!

Great for coldest weather, but?.
Love the coat for its protection, but the hood is unusable! I'm 6'1" 220# but the hood appears to be made for a child. Covers half my head with forehead and ears exposed. Unfortunately removed it as it is not functional. Repeated queries to the company, no response.

Great jacket. It comes a bit bigger in size. I'm 6'1 and Large is so big, I'd recommend to go one size smaller. I went for size S since I don't like bulky clothes and fits great.
