Very good bag. Two recommendations: 1.) wish there was a zipper to keep backpack (shoulder straps) 100% contained when put away. 2.) use the stronger material of original base camp

I took the Base Camp Voyager Duffel 62?L on my hike to Cerro Chirripó, the highest mountain in Costa Rica, and it was the perfect travel companion. I packed everything I needed for three days in the mountains-clothes, food, light gear-and still had room to spare. The internal divider made it easy to separate dirty or wet clothes on the way back down, which was a huge plus. The backpack-style straps were super helpful for longer stretches of walking, and even on rough terrain, the bag was comfortable and easy to carry. It rained on the descent, and the water-repellent fabric held up great. Knowing it's made from recycled materials made me feel even better about the purchase. This duffel is tough, practical, and clearly built for real adventures.

The bag is great, however I ended up returning this to TNF because it didn't arrive in time for an international trip. It took 2x as long to ship/arrive past the 3-5 business days expected. It can be purchased on other competitor sites with 2 day free shipping as an fyi. Great bag if you have 10-14 days to wait for arrival.

Absolutely love this duffel. Bought it to replace an old military bag that finally gave out after 20 years of use. Primary bought to use for gear when going truck camping. I love all the storage compartments along with the inside sectional divider. It works perfectly for my needs and I can also see it being useful for traveling.

I love the North Face great bags and clothing. I use the voyager bag for my ship and Civil Air Patrol flight bag. Having a water proof bag for search and rescue operations is a must in the mountains..
