Got my 1st Blue Kazoo in 1979, royally mistreated it, & it is a 35-degree bag now. I've taken care of my 2nd Kazoo & its temp rating. Spent early Sept. in Alaskan arctic & late Oct. in CO Rockies.

Best sleeping bag ever. From Roof Top Tent adventures to multi-day backpacking trips this bag fits. I often toss and turn in my sleep and occasionally, I may sleep on my side. In other bags that I thought "fit" and confirmed to my silhouette, I found to be very uncomfortable sleeping in positions other than on my back with hands at my side. The Blue Kazoo, provides a spacious torso zone with a evolving non restrictive form, and allows me to sleep in many positions.

I only used this once so far and am overall satisfied with my purchase. I got this bag to use for the JMT in September and tested it out on a trip in the White Mountains in Interior AK last weekend. Pros: lightweight, packs small, affordable. I used a smaller and lighter weight compression sack than it came with. Good price compared to other bags with similar specs. Cons:not as warm as I hoped, fabric doesn't feel durable, zipper gets caught easily. Test trip was rainy and cool, probably in the upper 30s and I got a little chilled at night. I do sleep cold but expected to still be warm at those temps since temp comfort rating is 26*F. Nothing an extra layer can't fix. But the bag also doesn't feel the most durable; some of this is "you get what you pay for" and I expected that. Time will tell how it holds up. I'm sure the JMT will put it to the test.

Perfect for keeping toasty in our camper. Packs down to nothing, which is great for saving valuable space, and lofts up almost instantly.

The long size was perfect for me. I'm 6'1-6'2 ish. This thing is super comfy without plenty of space. The hood and footbox are well designed for comfortable. Can't wait to use it on more adventures!

As a guy who walks in the Sierra back country all summer long (May - mid September) I have unique needs. In a typical season I spend a minimum of 120 nights in my tent, using my bag. For your average backpacker who gets 1 week long hike/ year, that's 18 years worth of use! With that in mind, the Blue Kazoo is a go to product. It's super light, packs very small and does the job. I'll sit in it for an hour or more each morning, on my pad in the doorway of my tent sippin' coffee and watching the day start. Love it.
