Great quality gear, handle works better than other gear I?ve used in the past. Avoid using metal cooking instruments to avoid wear and tear. Handle locks into place perfectly and does not wiggle or fault in any way. Perfect for cooking for 1-2 people

Good length for a 2 liter or larger pot. Not good for the non stick pots though.

Honestly put this thing through the wringer for 5 days and it held up. Cooked multiple meals over a fire with this skillet and it held up. Took care not to get the plastic pieces too hot as they looked like they could melt. Easy to clean and stored nicely in my pack. The handle comes off in my pack now, but I think that was my fault for how I packed it. I can reattach it no problem and it is still usable, I just have a handle getting to the bottom of my pack now.

I bought this skillet for backpacking trips when I want to cook a small trout stream side or make bacon and eggs for breakfast. I can't wait for the weather to improve so I can give it a test run. The non-stick coating and light weight and packability are just what I was looking for. I will most likely purchase the Alpinist 2 Cook Set to nest with this skillet so I have a complete system for two.

MSR makes high quality skillets, but I prefer, and continue to use for the last 6 years, the previous model with sloping sides, which makes it easier to slide in a small spatula to flip pan cakes or eggs. If this current model were the only style available, I would still buy it, and just have to learn to make smaller pancakes.

Wanted a frying pan that nested with my Quik 2 cookset, and this is it. G The entire set is great for car camping, and it can be split for bacpacking. Love the pan, great for frying eggs for breakfast.

I have had this for about a year. I have taken it on day hikes and overnighters and camping events. It has never failed to deliver the goods. Good heat dispersion and I have never found a hot spot.

I use this with my Dragonfly stove and it works perfectly. It is light and simple. The handle is removable. Works exactly like it is supposed to.

Needed a decent pan for cooking on overnights. This one is the perfect size, not too big or small. Seems really solid quality. Description didn't specify that the handle is entirely removable-so that's just a bonus.
