Boils super fast and cooks really well. Heat control is better than expected. Glad I chose this over a jetboil, much more versatile.

I bought an MSR Pocket Rocket Deluxe in 2021 for a kayaking/camping trip on the Missouri river. It has accompanied me on numerous camping and kayaking events since then. Reliable, simple to light, effective. About 2 weeks ago it failed for the first time. I was unsure if I could just light it with a match or lighter now. So I reached out to customer service and asked the question. First, it's safe to light it manually. BUT, they also offered to replace the stove! In 2025 it's rare for Customer Service to make that offer. I said yes, of course. So appreciative of the service. And the stove itself. Very happy with the company and the product.

Absolutely love this stove! It's so easy to use and has never let us down. It's size makes it must for backing packing! We love having the built in igniter, it's one less thing you must carry with you! If you are looking for a reliable lightweight stove, look no further!

This is a fantastic stove. I've used many and this one is my favorite. Its slightly heavier than others I have but like the igniter (never though I would) and it also saves us fuel usage which depending on the length vs canister packed can save on some weight. Really solid stove, a bit pricy in the world of backpacking stoves but extremely happy with it. Really decent wind performance too, though obviously try not to use it in direct wind.

The OG Pocket Rocket was great, the Deluxe is even better. It's regulated and great in the wind. There is no reason to look elsewhere. Its nests nicely with a small canister as well. The igniter has never failed me either.

Lightweight, durable, easy to use, reliable, and fast. Why are you even considering any other stove? I use this for ALL summer and shoulder season adventures. (Though, I switch to a windburner for anything alpine or extra cold/snowy) If I ever needed to look for a replacement, I'd buy one again in a heartbeat.

Hi! I love it, however, shirtless after I bought it, the part that ignites the fire broke. I always bring a lighter now, but that piece was abjt frustrating.othwrwise is great, light and easy to pack and super fast. Love it!

Simmers well so it's usable beyond just boiling water like my windburner does. Light winds are manageable, everything beyond that needs a windscreen or another type of stove. The only flaw is the piezo igniter which only functions sometimes.

Super stable with 8oz canister and Titan 1400. Boiling was super impressive even at 10k ft in below freezing temps.

Being an MSR user for the past 30 years, switching to the pocketrocket from my old whisperlite was quite an upgrade! The major improvement was the simmer control that works great and also the fact that I can get this thing working in a matter of seconds :) Thanks for another great product!

I've owned and used dozens of different stoves in 40 years working in the outdoor industry, and this is probably my favorite. Tiny size, easy-lighting, precise heat control, good flame spread, and bombproof build. I bought my first Whisperlite in 1982 when they first came out and have been happily using and abusing MSR products ever since. Can't go wrong.
