I have 3 bottles all with these caps. Oldest and most used is 10 years old, other are 7 and 4 y\o. I NEVER had any issues with this cup. Even when it's pretty tight. It is very robust and made of of durable plastic. I go to this review section from time to time to just have a very good laugh, I bet these people with 1 star review also need help opening their pharmacy bottles. Buy some LEGO, develop your motor skillz... LOL, it will save your life one day ahahahah

Great Option when kids are an issue

Have one bottle with child resistant cap and one without. I keep all my gear away from my kids so child resistance wasn't the goal it just happened to come on this bottle. It is a little heavier if you are an ounce counter. When changing elevation on trips and the expedition cap gets jammed due to the pressure differential this one is easier to grasp and get off.

Works with Excellence

I purchased this around 3 years ago, and it works great. It never causes issues in removing when you know how to use it. Fuel never leaks out the top, and keeps all fumes inside the bottle during travel.

Great top to keep the kids safe

like the locking feature of this works well. Ran the top on my MSR bottle on the Trans american trail and kayak a trip with my girls.

Safe but still easy to use

I've been using MSR bottles for years and was worried when the new laws in Canada required safety caps. But no worries, these are still easy to use when you're hands are cold or in gloves and didn't take any time to get used to.

I bought a new fuel bottle this month, and have used it a few times. The child-resistant cap works well, and I haven't had any problems so far. Difficult enough that I would trust it around kids, but easy enough that I can still undo it every time, even when my hands are cold or in gloves.
