As usual, MSR hits the ball out of the park with this product!! I have tried all other brands out there and this thing could survive any torture test that I could EVER think of! The big plus is that I do alot of winter camping and hiking. On a recent trip the temps got well below freezing and even with the water turning to ice {when away from the fire} the material was VERY pliable and strong as nails!!

Little expensive, but by worth every penny. I have used simple hydration bladders from camelbacks, the Nalgene Canteen bags. I have had multiple Nalgene Canteen bags fail around the top where the mouth meets the bag. I have also had one get a hole by simply rubbing up against one rock on accident. The Dromedary bag just blows them out of the water as far as durability goes. I also love the larger volumes they offer. I own the 10L bag. Iv backpacked in many arid climates, as well as areas there is simply no access to water, so I have to hike in all my water. The Dromedary bag is fairly easy to lash to the outside of the pack. It also folds up nice and flat when empty which is a big plus. Highly recommend it.

I work on a trail crew and spend about half of my time in frontcountry and backcountry settings in the desert. Sometimes we drink up to 4-5 litres a day and it is necessary for us to carry at least 6 litres. I had been using regular nalgenes (6 litres worth) before I switched to the 6-litre version of this dromedary. I switched under recommendations from many of the people that I work with and I have been super satisfied with the decision! I can really think of only pros to this product. The thing I love most is that it is capable of carrying huge amounts of water extremely durably (up to 10 litres if you choose the 10L), yet when it is empty you can roll it up and it takes up minimal space in your pack. This can be a lifesaver in a backcountry setting. Other pros - it has a three way screw cap which makes it very flexible and it has several attachments that can transform it into a shower or a hydration bag. I held off on buying it because I was concerned that it might not last very long but I have known people that use these bags for at least a year (50% of time spent in action) in scrubby desert settings and experience absolutely no problems. I think they are one of those "winner" products that a person can feel great about purchasing. I have now used it for three months and feel great so far. I'd recommend a 4L unless you have specific capacity needs. The 10L is still great if you are going to be hiking in areas where access to water is questionable. Taking one small nalgene along with the dromedary is great because it allows you to mix hydration drinks.

I live in the desert and as a result water is a perimium on many trails. When backpacking and yu find a water source it is necessary to load up and the Dromedary bag does just that. I wanted something that I could carry with me full or empty that would take up little space when empty. the size is right to get that 1 gallon you need for a day in the desert. I also like that is connects to my MSR filter. It also has accessories to increase its utility. The additional lashing holes on it make it easy to strap to your pack after filling it when you find a water source. I went with the Dromedary over the Dromelite for this reason. I also did not notice any plastic taste to the water. All in all I would recomend this to others it is a very useful tool.

I have a 4 liter sized one. It will hold a good two day supply of water. If you need it could last three days. (For two people) The cool thing about this bladder is you can attach it to the outside of the pack. Just tie it to top of your pack. It's a bomb shelter for your water. Cool spout will pour small stream, or if you unscrew the cap it will pour larger amount. Good for measure when cooking. Or drinking from bladder. Made of quality materials for long lasting use. Wish a water connect tube was included? Some what easy cleaning and storage.
