I purchased this set for my wife and me for short to mid length hikes. The weight correlates with the strong construction and the ability to be creative with its nesting features allows it to ride in my MSR pot and hold other items as well.

Totally love the convenient and light-weight design of this little kit. The lidded thermal cups pack neatly in the dishware for easy storage. I took them for just an overnight backpacking trip and found them to be just the thing for an easy dinner and coffee with breakfast-kind of expedition. Easy to clean and overall just what I was looking for.

My wife and I are growing our back country gear supply, and we picked up the MSR mess kit prior to a multi-day bike trip. We also added the French press attachment. Couldn't be happier. The size, straining lid, coffee cups are perfect.

I actually won this kit from MSR on a facebook contest, it's an awesome kit! this kit would be great for partner hiking and I have zero problems with it. Kinda bulky for solo hiking, but all around a great kit!

I bought this last year and have used it ~5 times in every season while camping/ backpacking in West Virginia. Helpful, compact design. Wish the food storage containers were a bit slimmer, but the insulation helps keep a beverage hot.

The specs (weight: 136g) are nonsense! I have the trail lite duo (these bowls and mugs inside a cooking pot) and the mugs are pretty heavy. One mug alone is more than 136g, two mugs plus two bowls weighs a lot more than that. The weight in ounces is given as 13.2, which is almost 400g. This seems closer to the truth.
