Back in 2019 I purchased the earlier version of the Tungsten 2P UL tent. My spouse and I put tons of miles on that thing in various mountain ranges. We loved that tent until we had to retire it. This new version of the Tungsten 2P UL tent is very similar to the old one. The weight is nearly the same at just over 3lbs. It sets up the same. One bonus is that the floor of this new Tungsten 2P UL is rectangular and not tapered. There is room for two long/wide pads in this tent! Score! I tried other 2P UL tents and they did not fit two long/wide pads. The tent is also stable/sturdy in wind and rain. I also like the two-way zippered vestibules and the ventilation opening. It's also great that you can sleep in this tent on nice clear nights without the vestibule - just the mesh. It's great! The only real negative to this tent is that one vestibule is smaller than the other. The small vestibule does fit a backpack and shoes, but it's pretty tight. I know that this tent is not technically ultralight at just over 3 pounds, but split between my spouse and me, it is light enough for our long-distance backpacking trips. And it fits in our packs just fine. I do recommend this tent very much!

Headroom's very spacious, it's light, and I absolutely love how it looks. I'll be using it on weeklong spike trips this season so I'll update this with how it holds up once the season's over.

I purchased this tent looking for a freestanding ultra light weight Backpacking tent With a reasonable price . It was a risk because there were no Reviews But I counted on the great reputation that Marmot has for their Tents. The tungsten two person ultralight tent gets gold stars on all my requirements. I will update this review after testing this tent In the field I'm sure it will work As well as The regular Marmot tents perform.
