It works well (keeping the rain out). It has a feminine shape and great features like a hood that actually stays on and underarm zippers. Also, I am 5'9" and the sleeves are long enough. I have this jacket in a light color and a bright color. Great jacket.

I ordered a medium, which proved to be the correct size for me as it is roomy enough to add a fleece/down jacket underneath. The jacket is a bit " crunchier " than I like, but seems well made. Adding an inside pocket with a zipper would be a great place to put a phonr/wallet. I have yet to wear it in the rain, but it is my third Gortex jacket, so I expect it to be fine.

The hood is too small and the bill is too short. (you can see this in the picture). Rain easily gets in around your chheks and jaw when the hood is up. Yeah, it looks stylish, but functions poorly as a rain jacket. Your neck, then shoulders, then chest all get wet after 5 minutes in moderate rain.

I had this jacket in another color for a few years but lost it on the trail. I rely on it as a protective layer in all seasons, for hiking and kayaking -- in winter, spring & fall for wind and rain protection, in summer for a little warmth when needed. But it fits well, has a feminine shape, so I wear it around town at times also. The purple color is gorgeous -- but be forewarned it's BRIGHT! I've gotten many compliments on it.

Really like the look of the jacket. Was in between medium and large sizing so went large. A bit big but ok. Haven't had any rain yet, so can't comment on waterproofness Nice and light, perfect for backpacking, day walks and casual wear
