Shopper : What year is this jacket design?DIANA K : This style: 30380 is from Spring 2018. There is a new version 40330 that has been updated for fall/winter 2018 and is now PFC free. If you are interested in the latest style, please see linked item.
Shopper : My chest size is 38". Seems should go for size S according to the size chart. Does the size chart/ jacket design include allowance for wearing of mid and /or base layers beneath the jacket?ALLAN E : HI - Great jacket - I would recommend getting a medium. I'm 5'7" about a 38' chest and that what I have. Used it with and without base layers.ROBERT C : I have a 40" chest 190lbs and 6' 1" tall. I bought the medium size. It is a perfect fit if you wear a thinner thermal layer under the coat, but if your wearing something thicker like a sweatshirt and more underlayers or really puffy coat, it may be tight. The chest is probably ok, it's the arms that will be tight on you. This coat is great!TOM B : By the chart I was between XL & XXL I opted for the XXL and there is plenty of room for layeringTHOMAS J P : I am 6 ft., 145 lbs with a similar chest size. I bought the large for room for layers underneath in the winter and it is OK without layers, just a little loose. the cuff closures will take up any extra length in the arms and the bottom snugs up tight with the elastic pulls.SCOTT D : I think so yes, as long as it's not too bulky you should be fine
Shopper : Hi, I'm 5'7 &150 pounds and would like to have a lightweight down jacket underneath. Which size, S or M, would be fitted? Thanks.MAT B : You want size small.

medium light shell great for the rain

The rain readily beads and rolls off this jacket. The armpit heat vents work well as does the built-in bill on the hood. Only thing I haven't enjoyed about it is the feeling of the hood cinch on the back of the hood, annoying if I forget to pull my hood down when I get into the car.

Great Rain Jacket and great price!

I bought this red marmot minimalist rain jacket to replace my first marmot minimalist I had lost. This highly rated jacket is lightweight and packable (not ultralight), very waterproof, great zippers and hood. Sunny sports had a great price on this one and it shipped quickly! I highly recommend this jacket and Sunny Sports!

Held up To Mount Washington NH

I used this jacket to climb up to the top of Mount Washington. Weather was 70+mph winds with Freezing rain. I had the put zips open the whole time and only had on two light layers underneath. This jacket did awesome. The hood was a lil snug with my climbing helmet but nothing un manageable. The jacket is tough. I was scraping against some sharp tree branches on the climb up and nothing. On the decent down the weather turned from freezing rain to a torrential down pour. The jacket never wet through. I love this thing. It is pretty light weight and can be rolled up pretty small to pack in my bag. You want a do it all jacket that can handle anything and also looks pretty cool. Go with this. I got a XL to size over all my layers for when it’s really cold. I’m 6 Foot 180lbs Perfect jacket.

Very nice raincoat

This is a great waterproof jacket. It feels almost like the old school plastic raincoats (making it hot in warm weather) but like a premium version. I have only used it a few times but it always kept me dry.

Best $110 I ever spent.

Fantastic jacket. Beads great. Super lightweight. XL fits perfectly. I'm 6'2 190. Plenty of room to layer.

Solid light and as advertised

5 10” male 205 lbs ...the large fits with a light shirt. Snug but with some room it would work... but I exchanged for an XL. Glad I did I used the sinch system on the lower portion and fits fine with room for a hoodie or heavier jacket underneath. The wrist could be a better closure or more Velcro. Great grab and go...for use on mt bike and to keep in truck.

Performed well

I like this jacket a lot. It kept me dry in lower and arctic sweden. Reviews that say it fits trim are correct as it was snug over the layers that I applied for -10F weather. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

A little small in the for an outer shell.

I have to send back the small because it is too tight under the arms and would be impossible to put layers under it. Other then the size it is nice looking. Time will tell if it holds up.

Bought this jacket for a 7 day paddling trip on the St. John River, Maine. Rained everyday and I stayed completely dry. Even in heavy downpours.

Fit seems different now (smaller)

My current jacket is a replacement for a lost Minimalist Jacket XXL. It is a handy, compact and fairly rainproof shell for most purposes. The fit however, on this new one, seems different (smaller). I am the same size but this jacket seems smaller all around. The sleeve length seems the same but the chest fit is tighter, it seems shorter and the hood is definitely smaller. The current XXL does not fit well over my parka, does not have room enough for a helmet and covers my mouth when fully zipped. Also, the material wears poorly and becomes shiny, especially at the cuffs.

Great jacket for this price range

Sunnysports had this product to me before I could even blink. I believe I ordered this jacket on a Sunday, and had it in my hands that Thursday. I will most definitely be using this site again.

Great product!

I initially bought a large but realized that I really needed a XL so I could do layering underneath. Sunny Sports was very helpful with the return process. I had to get a different color but that was not a big issue with me. The product is great. It is well designed and light weight enough to take hiking. I recommend this product to anyone.
