Perfect Tent for my Needs

I've been using this tent for the last 6 years, it has held up in thunderstorms & a couple of Canadian snow storms! I just couldn't be happier with it. Last year I had one of the poles snap on a trip and I wanted to purchase a replacement and Marmot sent me out a new pole free of charge! The customer service alone, is why my next tent will be a Marmot purchase! I use the tent for both backcountry and car camping trips and I know it says two people but it fits me perfectly!

Great weekend tent that offers a lot of quality and low weight for entry level camper.

For the price this is a great tent for a quality budget friendly car camping tent or entry level backpacking tent for someone figuring out if they like backpacking. Haven't been able to test it in rainy conditions but overall it's really well made with some condensation issues but not a big deal. I have used 3 times so far 2 car camping 2 night stay and 1 overnight backpacking trip. There are definitely lighter tents but for the weight, quality, and price this isa great choice.

Great tent at an affordable price.

Setting up the tent is easy. And is well built. I have a few tents that are more expensive and I think this tent is right up there with them. It even comes with a footprint. Great deal!

Too small, but tall enough

The tent is too small for one person because the sides of the tent are at such a steep angle. The color makes you stand out, could be good in a crowd, bad for those of us living in the woods.

The Marmot Catalyst 2P Tent is your free-standing answer to a wonderful camping weekend for two, or just by yourself if you want the extra room. The Catalyst 2P Tent pitches extremely easily thanks to color coded "easy pitch" clips and poles, and the strategic placement of the clips gives you more living space inside. The floor is seam taped catenary cut, and the included footprint offers more protection from the harsh ground. The full coverage fly is also seam taped and has vents to keep air circulating. Plenty of interior pockets let you stash your small gear, and there's even a lamp shade pocket for your headlamp to provide ambient light at night.
